Forgetting to breathe anxiety?

Posted , 5 users are following.

Normally I will sleep just fine but I notice if I haven't slept in well, I find it hard to breathe and my nose will feel very stuffy. It concerns me a lot as I feel like I might forget to breathe and slowly suffocate from lack of air to my lungs. Does anyone else experience? If so, how do you deal with this? It makes my anxiety rise while I try calming myself but the way my breathing seems different as if I'm struggling to get air, it makes me panic really badly. What can I do this about? And will I be okay?

It can happen because of allergy or common cold. You should visit the doctor and check if you have any allergy. Taking shower or steam might help you with stuffy nose.

You will be fine. The body is designed to live and breathe. It will never forget to breathe, its impossible. ( unless you was very poorly) use benadryl spray ( blue one) I use it daily. Fantastic stuff. 😃

sinus issues sure do not help anxiety. i toss and turn at night, making the mucus in my head go from one nostril to the other in an attempt to get some relief. when i wake up in the morning i find that i switched to breathing soley out of my mouth. which usually means its (mouth) dry and lips cracked and burning. my wife had the same problem as you, she went to the doctor and he ordered a sleep study. long story short, she ended up with a CPAC machine which helps you to breath through the night. she now sleeps like a baby. no more snoring or stopping of breathing during the night. i think maybe a sleep study and CPAC machine would help you and your problem. its probably causing you much anxiety and you are probably exhausted from lack of good sleep as well, which only adds to your already heightened anxiety.

    You're gonna be just fine.

Honestly get some sinus spray. My nose just swells up for no reason and it's worse at night (high pollen atm). Great stuff works fast.
