Forum search for a friend with non PMR CHRONIC PAIN AND JOINT DETERIORATION

Posted , 9 users are following.

my friend does not have PMR., but is miserable and depressed with extreme joint pain at multiple sites. Im trying to help her find a forum like this one that is chock full of ideas, information, good wit, and emotional support.

Any ideas.?? I KNOW a specific diagnosis would help, but until that gets pinned down, what forum (s) might be good for her? shes become isolated due to her condition, so I thought a forum might be a link to the outside world.

hi Bethune...I've no answers for you regarding a forum, (although I'll bet if you Google it, you'd come up w/something), but I wanted to tell you what a Terrific friend you are!! it's so refreshing to see someone thinking of someone's needs other than their own! Kudos to you!😘😘🌟

thanks! googling was the first thing I tried, I didnt find anything like this great group.. maybe because there is no specific diagnosis. As an American, I really appreciate the British wit and frankly better info ( at least) regarding PMR . To be fair to my country, my doc is kind, and available, willing to try lots of different protocols for me and has settled on letting me manage my own prednisone decrease and increase during flares.

so if you have another BRITISH based forum for chronic joint pain.. please send if along.

    Hi Bethune

There are 'Osteoarthritis' and 'Rheumatoid Arthritis' forums on the net. Just google and see where it takes you. I hope you find an appropriate forum for your friend...what a loving and caring friend you are.😇👍

Googling "chronic pain support groups" brings up lots of links as Lynda thought it might. Have a hunt for something you think might help your friend.
