I'm so depressed. Thought I beat the prostate cancer but not looking so good. Not going to let this destroy us financially.

Why don't you just have ur prostate remove like I did?

Don't want to die piece by piece. What next...cut my balls off just to live a few months longer. Sorry, just a little angry right now.

If you have the option of being able to have a prostectomy you are lucky ! There isn't a person in the world who would not be depressed with a cancer diagnosis. Don't let a feeling like this cloud your judgment of what you should do for yourself .Talk to your Dr . Your family . You are not alone !

I may be late in this discussion but what is your present situation?

Ok E, at the moment you are in shock and angry. Is the cancer still contained within the prostate or has it spread. Is having the prostate removed a possibility? If so then go for it. Ok so you may have some incontinence and ED but both those things can be fixed. Choose life over other things. Im sure your family would want that. Big hugs xx

Sorry I have not responded. My service went down and I could not receive or send any emails. I don't know what my options are yet. Just that the last PSA went from 18.5 to 35 in 4 months. Logically, You are all correct in what you have posted. Thanks for your thoughts and concerns.

Have you had a biopsy and if so what was the Gleason Score? Have you had a PCA3 test? Bone Scan? At  this point we do not know if you have cancer or something else going on with the prostate. We need more information from you.
