Found this again, getting nervous

Back when I had my first PE, one thing I really noticed before they made themselves known was a darker spot in my lunula on my thumb. fast forward to a year and a half after being treated and I'm seeing the same thing except its faint. I'm on Eliquis for life now and I have confidence that its working, but I cant help but think theres another one lining up to put me in the hospital. has anyone else noticed this when they had a PE? image

I should note this was not on my lunula yesterday, or even this morning for that matter.

imageYes! I have the same thing! However, mine is worse! It started when I was on coumadin. Now I am on Xerleto. However, I still have it. Maybe 25% better. I've noticed yours thumb looks very dry like mine too. Especially under the finger nail. I tried everything! Been to numerous Dr. and still cant get rid of it.

So in Chinese medicine they say that the lunula on your thumb is related to lungs and spleen, so maybe there is something in that. I think most people who have had PEs or a PE worry that they will get one again. If you are on blood thinners for life though, your risk is very minimal.

yes but I cant help but think my poor diet and weight has a part to play. another weird thing I've been experiencing is when I lay a certain way or pound on my right pectoral the right side of my throat gets tickled, for lack of a better word, and I've been dealing with either muscle tension or something else on my right pectoral for a couple weeks now.

If you have a poor diet and your weight is an issue, the tickle in your throat from your chest could be acid reflux, possibly from a hiatus hernia. Blood thinners can cause heartburn and indigestion too, are you taking anything like nexium to protect your stomach? If not you probably should try otherwise you can sometimes get things like gastritis or even stomach ulcers. Also if your diet is poor, you should be taking supplements to keep your immune system strong now. If you aren't already take vitamin d and vitamin b complex. Vitamin d helps your immune system and I just found out recently B vitamins are good for your lungs as well as a lot of other benefits.

I'll look into those, but honestly I'm just trying to rule out any other causes aside from another PE so I can avoid a trip to the hospital. I know I can still get blood clots even though I'm on blood thinners and the risk is lowered, but I'm still nervous.

honestly I'm tempted to message my doctor about what I'm feeling, but I just feel like I'm resigned to whatever fate holds for me because of this COVID19
