Four weeks post OP full hip replacement 52 years old

i have had some sort of hip pain for eight years now . December 2019 I had hip arrhoscopic surgery which consisted of labrum tear, hip impingent correction, measured rhe arthriris in my hip, etc.

Still had to have a full hip replacememt December 2020 bc the arthritis over doubled in size. Weird when i have not even exercised or could not even walk a mile in pain.

I still have glute minimus and medius partial thickening and tears, tendonopathy and piriforus pain. i could be walking without a cane rigjt now if it werent for the piriformus pain. I have had piriformus pain since 8 years ago, thats not new but since surgery its worse . I dug into my piriformus with a tennis ball and now hurt my siatic nerve, which i hope is temporary. its hindering my progress .

I am being told when i am six months post op i can get a pressure release injection (something like that) in the piriformis . I have had muscle relaxer for one week which isnt making it go away.

When someones in chronic pain for so long it really messes with your head.

i am discouraged and feel like its never going to get better. And not to forget i have had faccet injections and nerve burning done for that and the SI joint temporary relief . THe frustrating part is the SI joint is considered the spine so i see a different doctor and feel like I am not treated as a whole body only symptoms .

Everyday i have to fight the internal message to not give up.

I have always been a hard worker . I trained hard in the gym as part of my mental therapy. People would always ask what competition i was training for , but it was my hobby and where i cleared my mind. for two years now i havent graced the doors of a gym and cant even walk a mile without tears or pain.

Even in pain i have refinished furniture in three rooms during 2020 covid restrictions and but up board and batton in my entry way and hall. i ended up each day with two ice packs and heating pads Lol but i had to keep working

So, now after hip replacement i was hoping id have some normalcy but feel like this ongoing piriformis pain isnt going to allow me to recover or get better.

All I keep hearing is give it time ... i feel like thats all i have done, and this is just another excuse and Theres no answers or help
