I have a fractured fibula and struggling to cope with an air boot. Has anyone experience of wearing this monstrousity?

Hi, Sorry a bit late to reply to this but just wondering how you have gotten on since fracturing your fibula? Is everything back to normal now?
I also fractured my fibula (weber A fracture) 10 weeks ago now and had the moonboot for about 6 weeks. It was hard to walk in as it made my leg longer. Found it easier to walk without it. My physio told me to just ditch the boot and start walking without it.
Still unsure if it is fully healed as my last x-ray 3 weeks ago showed delayed healing and I have been referred to an orthopaedic clinic as Dr seemed to think it wasn't healing in right place. I can walk on it now but something still doesn't feel right and it is very stiff and swollen. I walk very slowly and not very far.
