Fractured Fibula - Shooting pain

Posted , 5 users are following.

Week 11, fractured fibula at ankle, still healing.  Still some swelling around the ankle.  I have recently started to experience sharp, shooting pains where the fracture occurred.  Feels like the pain is coming from the bone itself but I'm not sure.  It's very painful.  Anyone else ever experience this?

Sounds miserable. The pain becomes a constant and serious then it would be best to go back to the doc for a check up Xray. It's tough to know what's wrong with out Xray .

    wish you well.

Hi moonlit. I'm having the same pain, mostly around the wound. I think it's like nerve, or something else healing. I think you're fine.

    Hi,

I experience pain at times in the exact location. Before, I was experiencing shooting and throbbing pain in the rt leg and foot. I still feel pain, but the pain level is at a minimal, so therefore, I don't have to rely on pain meds. Feel better. Are you mobile? Feel better.
