Frankinsence Essential Oil

For some reason, I had been knocked off this site...again.  I didn't even notice for quite a while, then one day I realized I hadn't received any notifications of new posts.  Ratz.  So, today I started reading all the many, many letters I have missed. Yay!  I'm so glad to be back.  Anyway, here is the thing:  I began to get interested in reading about and using essential oils.  I read that frankinsence helps skin problems and it is one of a few essential oils that can be applied directly to the skin, without having to have a carrier oil.  I made a mixture of pure, organic coconut oil, a few drops of frankinsence and a drop or two of tea tree oil...stirred it all up, put it in a small glass jar and I use it  every single time I have been to the bathroom.    The only problem area I have at present is the area between the vaginal opening and the anus.  That area was damaged a bit by Clobetasol....(I wasn't using it correctly for a time, was using it too often)....my dr. put me on a milder steroid and I was instructed not to use it at all on that area, but only where there were still light areas on the vagina.  However, I use the coconut oil/frank mix all over the whole bottom.  There is a difference in the skin.  The skin in the whole area is pink and looks healthy, even the part that had been damaged before.  It is easy to find information on essential oils on the internet, and I think it would be very much worth it for anyone who is interested to take a few minutes and read about frankinsence...right now I am too lazy/tired to walk all the way across the house to my bathroom and look at the label and see if I am spelling frankinsence correctly...I somehow think it should be with an "s" instead of a "c"...I'll look it up tomorrow  :o)    Anyway, I do believe the F. works great.  I used it first on a different problem, that problem was cured (I don't think I can say much about that as the moderator my not let it go through)..so that gave me the confidence to try the F. on the LS.  I hope this helps some one.

I'm the one who's been talking about Frank, having been inspired to try it by young Liam last spring.  I swear it's half the reason I'm in such good shape. Glad it's working for you. I don't use it more than once or twice a day, but I'd do what you're doing if I had a flare-up.

I did remember that someone on this  board was having good success with the F. for LS.  I seemed to be hearing about essential oils from all over the place lately, so started to get interested in researching them a bit.  My dtr-in-law gave me a diffuser with a calming oil blend in it and I realized that it was working!  I was surprised at that.  That made me do more research and I bought a starter kit from one company and just loved all the little bottles.  I used the F. straight from the bottle on one skin problem on my face and it was completely fixed.  After that, I had no fear of using the  F. on my bottom.  I have been using organic items for cleaning for quite a while now, too, gradually replacing cleaning chemicals with vinegar, baking soda, etc etc.   Well, now that I see that it was you who started me going along the essential oil thinking, I should thank you!

Well, it was twenty-year-old Liam on here last spring who sang the praises of frankincense. Anyway, this is why I'm here. For myself, for everybody.

I hope you get relief with using the mix.  I was not specific with ingredient amounts, just mixed probably5 or 6 tablespoons of coconut oil with 6 or7 drops of Frankinsense and a couple of quick drops of tea tree oil, not even sure I needed to do that, and stirred until mixed.  I put a bit on my face, too, figuring the F. is so good for the skin, let's see what else it can do. (My skin looks really nice)  I can say that without seeming vain, because no one here knows me so I can  say what I think!  I always say what I think in my own head.  cheesygrin

I am a big pinterest user and have been recently searching out the topic of essential oils.  I started to get interested before my LS diagnosis but have been using them more since.  I also use them around the house for other things too.  Anyway, I had just been reading up on the Frank and that is the very next one I wanted to try and then I see this.  Good information!  Now I think I need to get some sooner rather than later.  I can't use the Clob as it made my condition 10 times worse!  Maybe I am allergic too.

I do hope you try the F. ...I know it does not have to be mixed, but I stir it into a bit of coconut oil as I want the skin around clit to not be "sticky" and the moisturizing effect makes sitting more comfortable, too. (and because of arthritis, I sits and thinks a lot!)   My LS specialist took me off Clob and put me on a milder steroid, Triamcinolone.

Well, Patricia86334 here..replying to my own post.  Once again, I had no notice that anyone had had any comment on the use of essential oil (Frankinsense)..so I thought I should check out the site anyway and see there were several replies.

I am so happy with the F. for the LS.  My bottom is in such good shape, I only use the steroid, Tryamcinolone, about once a month now, just as a precaution, as I am afraid to give it up 100%.  I sincerely hope that anyone who is willing, would look up essential oils and try using the F. oil on skin problems of any sort.  It is an amazing healer, and is not harmful the way chemicals are.  I was very afraid of using steroids, but I am not afraid of using the essential oil, even on such a sensitive area.   The other skin problem I alluded to in my original post was totally healed, and I was sure I was going to have to go and have surgery to fix it.  I used the F. half a dozen times a day on the skin problem and completely fixed the problem.  Anyone who is interested would benefit from doing research on essential oils.  I buy mine on the internet because, well, it is cheaper!  Right now I have a diffuser going with a nice smelling essential oil filling the air.  biggrin
