Freckles/Blemishes

Has anyone else noticed more freckles or blemishes since being on these meds? I seem to have more little dots on the back of my hands although that could just be down to my heightened health anxiety making me notice things that have always been there.

I know logically that lots of people have freckles and blemishes on the backs of their hands and my dr said its nothing to worry about but at the moment i worry about any tiny thing i see on my skin

I did get an itchy rash, and have noticed my skin in general is not as healthy. I think this is down to my loss of appetite and being run down from the anxiety. I think its your anxiety that's the problem here, not your skin. If your GP isn't concerned, then you shouldn't be x

Hi Graham. The only issue I have with my skin is dryness from the central heating and from being dehydrated due to crying a lot. Do you think your medication is helping your health anxiety or are you still struggling? I know it's no good me saying try not to worry but if your GP isn't concerned then you need to try to challenge the self talk that there's something wrong. Easier said than done, I know but that's probably why the doctor wanted to increase your medication. Have you been offered any CBT for your issues? There's an interesting model called vicious cogs which looks at all of the different elements of health anxiety in the getselfhelp materials online.
