Frequent breakouts of chest, and never face

Posted , 2 users are following.

I am 30 years old, and for at least 8 years (that I can definitely recall), I've suffered terrible breakouts, but they always occur on my chest.

I have perfectly clear skin on my face, very rarely get any zits there, but there's rarely a time i don't have zits covering my chest.

I use free from EVERYTHING soap, I don't put anything perfumed on my chest, I don't wear necklaces that touch my chest, I shower frequently, or even wash my chest like I'd wash my face if I skip a shower, I've used pimple patches to help them heal. I've done everything I think think of to keep my skin clear, but they just will NOT stop.

Please can anyone offer any advice on how to get rid of this?! It's horrifically unsightly, and really affects my confidence.

The photo posted was taken today, you can also see a lot of the scars from previous break outs.

This is so common and so frustrating to conquer.I think its time to see your doctor for some acne specific antibiotics. You may have to take them for 6months at a time but they do work. I'm not talking about Ro-Accutane, but the tetracyclines. Once you have it under control you could try using a face cream or oil with retinol in it. Use very sparingly. You could try this first of course....there are quite a few on the market at the moment. Some can be very drying so only use on the spots themselves until you are happy with it. You may have to use several before you find one that suits you. Obviously, dont pick or squeeze these breakouts.
