Hi Roselee
I had an operation like the one you describe last year, and it was fine. I had to sit with my foot up for a couple of weeks, had to learn how to bandage it properly but as long as you prepare, it was great. I got lots of food in, a few DVD's I hadn't seen and took up knitting. Towards the end of the two weeks, when I was starting to get cabin fever, my husband took me out to a garden centre for some fresh air, but made me use their wheelchair.
A year on and that foot is fine, no problems with it at all.
Now my only problem is that is has started in my other foot, and it seems a lot more painful than the first one and I am looking at another operation in the early summer.
