Friend that need immediate mental help

Posted , 2 users are following.

i have a friend that seem deeply troubled, i have absolutely no experience in mental health issues but this person seems to me to be insane. He has dramatic physical and emotional outbursts, for example kicking punching and even kissing brick walls. sometimes he even seems to be talking to people that arent there. Myself and other friends feel unsafe during these outbursts and i feel like he could be of harm to himself and to others. I dont want to go into too much specific detail but this person without a doubt needs professional help, could anybody recommend ways to get him immediate and professional help?

    Hi Lauren,

Very kind of you to want to get help for this person but it's not your place to do so. His family would be the ones in charge of getting him help.

Your job is to remove yourself at once from him and the danger he represents.

You have a moral responsibility to take care of yourself in situations like this and not expose yourself to such things. This is called self-respect and self respect will serve you well as you travel through life.

Please withdraw immediately from any connection to this person.
