From 50mg sertraline to 100mg

hi everyone
was wondering on some advice pkeaas ive been on 50mg sertraline for nearly 4 weeks now per my previous post nearly a week ago still have some side effects sweaty palms not so anxious anymore and get some days good and some bad still get churning tum but manageable also have no prob eating though my diet has changed and for the best u see 5 weeks ago desided to give up redbull aswell use to drink 6 ro 10 cans aday with nothing much to eat i went cold turkey as i know they are not good for u anyway i eat healthy food now bur with the sertraline went i started it was awful but i managed to get this far i take it for anxiety depression ocd still getting palpitations dont know if its the meds or what im suffering with? also i take my 50mg tab at night but in morning feel ok sometimes and then feel sad and low and started to cry today also does anyone suffer with breathing prob sometimes aswell every thing seems to worry me at the min and the ocd is uncontrolable but i have now been told to go up too 100mg but if im being honest im really hesitant and reluctant to go up regarding the side effects and palps i second guess myself all the time and think ive got something seriously wrong! its silly i know but looking for some direction and advice please xxx

Ok, you are doing many things right here. No wonder you have anxiety really bad. You take Red Bull sooo many times a day. I am on 100mg and if I were to even one single can of Red Bull I could feel how it increases my anxiety. So I am glad you have given up on that.
With this illness, once the med kicks in, you still have to do a lot of work to stay sane. I've had decades of experience to help me from relapsing. I can tell you that it's good to have a healthy diet, get some exercise even if it's just a 30 min walk, they say to try meditation but I can't do this yet - perhaps some day - but I find that spirituality did wonders for me - I try to read the Bible everyday and it calms me and helps with all my fears and worries, like now since my husband's fighting for his life with brain cancer, aggressive, high grade. I find that I had loose stool 2 days in a row now, any my shoulders and upper back ache, so I know I am stressed. So I try to get enough sleep, hopefully soon. And I try to eat healthier, less sugar, no caffeine. What else? Try to do something small that helps reduce stress, like keeping a journal or listening to some music. I like books, movies, music, etc.
You might also want to play around with taking med night or morning. I take it in the morning and it works great for me.
As for increasing your dosage, I would give it a few more months before deciding to up your dosage. Or you could up it first, but reducing your dosage is a nightmare, too, because of the side effects. Just sharing with you from decades of personal experience on this med.

wow, please don't drink energy drinks like that. It's dangerous and so bad for you i'm glad you have stopped. Stopping that could also cause withdrawal which could be why you're getting sweaty and heart palpatations. I cut out caffeine completely since I have had anxiety, it really doesn't help.
You need to stay on 50mg for at least 12 weeks for it to fully settle. It is normal to still suffer side effects at this point x
