I just need to rant , I'm close to tears ,, I've had a few positive and relatively pain free days , I assumed I was frozen and I could see the end , but last night and all day today I have had a heavy ache on my frozen arm and along the back of my neck that is now moving to my other arm.. I am feeling very sorry for myself . I know a lot of you are suffering more than this , so forgive my moans but I know you all understand the need to rant at times .... 😤

Rant away.... in fact I'll join you. My right shoulder has been giving me gyp for just over a year. I am now being refered to a surgeon - but I'm not holding my breath that it will make much difference. I have learned to manage it, the pain and awkwardness and waking up every couple of hours to settle back into a comfy position.

Then last Wednesday I slipped on some rocks at the coast and badly jarred my left shoulder! The doc at A&E just kept saying 'it's not dislocated', as if that made any difference. The pain is bxxxxy awful and when I move it too far it 'clunks' and the pain gets worse!!!

I have a pile of jobs to do that require 2 working arms and finally the weather has improved enough to do them. I did go to the private Physio in the village for treatment. She is brilliant but I can't afford to go as often as I would like.

Yes, sometimes you have to rant or you would explode! (Hugs) to you, I hope we can all find some relief from this misery.

I can only imagine how painful this must have been!  Don't set yourself back by trying to do those jobs too soon - however much you are tempted.  If there is someone available, learn to delegate and be supervisor for a while!  Take care x

Cindy, you can cry on my good shoulder cheesygrin

Some nice long heat helped me when mine was like that. It happened occasionally if I was at the computer too long. I would use a muscle relaxant if it hadn't settled down for me by bedtime.

Apart from the actual glued down stuff, our muscles can sure get out of whack since we're asking some of them to do chores that they were never designed to do. And it's easy to overdo things on good days - not saying you did, but I know I did!

Tomorrow is a new day smile May it be positive and pain free.

Hey hun, I am feeling the same - please do not feel you can't rant - I had the MOST TERRIBLE night last night - it was like my body had cast itself back a year - far out I was sobbing (and had to face 32 grade 1 kids all day) I was so cranky today I feel guilty !

My shoulder seems to have taken several backward steps. I had a cotisone and didn't know myself but it is fast wearing off and trust me it is hell on earth.

I am feeling for you xxxx

Thanks bobbys girl, Liane and Claire , thank you for understanding and taking the time to respond even through your own pains . I suppose we are all stronger than we realise, as we all continue with our daily life's ( even if we do hold ourselves at funny angles and have to use our non dominant and bemused arm to do all the heavy work !! )

I'm so sorry Bobbys girl to hear of your injury , I do hope it heals soon.

Thanks to all of you for letting me know this is "normal" ,.... and frustrating at the same time, I saw the relief on my families faces last week when they saw a part of me "light up" again , only to see my poor husbands face last night as he saw me crumpled on the settee again..

That's why I reached out to you all last night as I know so many of you understand..

Love and best wishes to you all for a brighter day x

You rant away Cindy. It's hard when you think you're making progress and then have a setback. You mind yourself. X

I don't think "frozen" happens overnight - and it can be tempting to do too much or overdo the excercising  when you start to feel better.  Take it easy for a few days - I am positive, if you've started to have some good days, you will soon have some more and the set backs will happen less and less frequently.  As others have said - we tend to get used to doing things very awkwardly to compensate and it can cause all sorts of aches and pains elsewhere.  It's difficult to feel positive when you're in pain and not sleeping properly but it will get better.  You're entitled to feel sorry for yourself and have a rant on here, where we understand!  Take care x

      Hi everyone,

I feel so much for everyone on this site, my left was frozen, operated on twice and is now pretty good, i now how it in my right shoulder, still working, still looking after three kids and still in loads of pain, my doctor has been brilliant and referred me straight back to my surgeon who i see in another 5 weeks, i would not hesitate about going under the knife at all, it moves the healing on alot quicker, the capuslar release didn't work and i only ended up with 3 tiny scars but the MUA three months later did.  Waiting for the same op's now.....my advice if you dont want to wait for however long it takes to heal naturally!!!!!!! sit in your doctors surgery and cry, refuse to move until you are referred....good luck everyone, it really is the most annoying and painful ilness, if thats what it is, the dull ache like toothache every day, the sleepless nights and all the rest of it but there is a light at the end of the tunnel even if it is under the knife!
