Frozen Plastic Suppositories: Do They Work for Grade 2 or 3 Internal Hemorrhoids?

Hi all,

A little background first. Then the question underneath.

I've been having bad hemorrhoids for the past year and a half or so. They;ve been getting worse in the past few months - they don't go back in right away; there's more blood on the paper/dripping in the bowl; and the prolapsing one seems a bit larger.

I went to a gastroenterologist yesterday hoping to get rubber band ligation done. He said he doesnt do it at his office, but I'd need to get it done with a colonoscopy at a hospital with which his practice is associated. I'm waiting to get a call back about scheduling, but he told me it could take 2-3 weeks.

I've tried sitz baths, witch hazel, and OTC products, and I really want to just get this treated asap and to just get it over with. But shopping around for specialists isn't exactly cheap; not to mention the cost of any procedure. So I want to try anything else I can do before scheduling anything.

Anyway, for the question:

Has anyone used those frozen "suppository" type of products like Anuice? It's basically a small plastic suppository shaped thing which you freeze, and they claim that by using it for a few minutes a few times a day, you can shrink hemorrhoids. Reviews on Amazon seem good, but I havent seen anyone mention what grade of hemorrhoids they used it for. I also havent seen any reviews for it on other forums or reddit. Is it possible to shrink hemorrhoids this way if they are grade 2 or 3? Or is this just some snake oil?

I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks so much!

The only thing that works is changing your diet and hope for the best, you must not eat nothing with flour in it, and make sure you eat plenty of fresh fruit plenty of leafy greens and drink water like your getting paid for it... for example try bran flakes with berries in the morning have fresh fruit for lunch and fish and steamed vegetables for dinner... remember if you eat healthy food you will be healthy...white bleached flour is the cause of most digestive disorders along with yeast so if you drink beer often slow down for a bit...good luck....

you can try nifidipin cream you need a script, mostly used for anal fissures but also very effective on internal hems there was a study in Italy healed over 90% of patients.. it's a 10 to 12 week deal... It worked for me temporarily but like I mentioned before, I keep going back to my crappy eating habits...Are your hems internal or external?

I forgot to mention stop using toilet paper it just p*sses them off...hahaha... If you dont have a detachable showerhead get one pronto...After B.M. Jump in shower and use showerhead to clean your self...when your out keep on you medicated preparation h wipes in case you have to go...They are treatable but if you cant get them under control seek a colon rectal surgeon and get it done, because they can get worst...Mine got so bad that the pain was so unbelievable that the surgery wasn't even that bad for me cause I was used to the chronic pain on a daily...My only regret was not doing it 10 years ago..

My advice: Get a foot stool to put your feet up on when you go to the loo. It puts you in a more natural position and helps to cure piles and prevent further problems. You can buy cheap on internet. I can’t recommend them highly enough. A real life changer. X

Thanks. I just ordered one actually. In the meantime, I started using a couple of pots. I think they're 8 inches; I forget exactly

Great, it takes a little while to get used to the new position but it’s worth persevering. I wouldn’t be without mine now and even have a portable folding one in the car! 😂

Hi....I have had hemorrhoids for many years now. Though I try mostly to keep it under control by eating good, drinking plenty of water, exercising regularly etc it some times goes out of control & starts bleeding and gets very painful. I could remember several such instances in the past when it started bleeding and became very painful. But I always manages recover by only doing one thing  which is to sit in the warm water added with salt. I think epsum salt is the best but normal salt also works in my case. 15-30 minutes couple of times daily for 5-7 days would normally make it heal.

hi i am going to say yes as i used ice treatment to get rid of my piles they was external i will say it hurts like hell but it worked for me good luck

You could try this before you buy an anal ice tool. My neighbour told me this handy tip. Freeze a glove filled with water and press one of the frozen finger tips on the swollen pile (hemorrhoids). It will temporarily shink the pile. It hurts like hell! It is not a cure. Anything cooling will help. I find the Chinese herbal Maylinglong hemorrhoid cream works better. Its still not a cure but the coldness of the cream temporarily shinks the pile and gives some relief. I put this cream on several times a day. It's the best hemorrhoid cream I have used so far, but it does has a strong herbal perfume smell.

    Thanks, Adam and Annie!

Ive tried the ice pack when the hemorrhoids were out. Didn't really help much since they're internal.

I froze some dish soap in the pinky of a glove, but it was waaaay too thick. Trying to figure out another way to make something slimmer to use. Worst comes to worst I'll just get the banding.
