Oh my gosh, I can't even imagine having this happen to me again, and from what I've read online, it quite possibly could.  I am very against having surgery unless absolutely necessary, and am going the route of physical therapy and massage therapy.  I would be very interested to hear how things go with accupuncture.  Please be sure to report back here and let us know.  I will tell you that after my massage on Sunday, I'm quite sore.  I was told by both my doctor and physical therapist that this is a long and painful road to recovery, so I'm not sure if it's good or bad.

I had about 6 months private physio, then NHS physio, then 1st op May last year, didn't work so second op in October, i really had no choice, i had no movement at all.  My shoulder is just starting to feel better after 18 months, cannot believe that within 2 months i now have a frozen shoulder in my right arm, i know exactly how its going to go and am expecting the same again, i.e more ops, i really cant get my head round this, it was bad enough the first time roun and this time it's in my dominant side which is even worse.  Someone mentioned that accupuncture worked for them so fingers crossed, i will keep posting :-(

I used acupuncture for in between my first and second operation like you. I was desperate to get pain relief. I went to a very traditional chinese guy who didn't speek much english. He did fairly light needles not too deep up and around my arm and it made a huge differenre...I went twice and both times I got pain relief but it didn't do anything for my ROM....I decided to try a different acupauncturist afterwards and he I went to 3 times and he did a different form of acuncuture which in and of itself did nothing for pain or anything, so he suggested that I did better with the other form, that was a total of about 500....I was trying at that point to avoid the capsular release operation and I guess all counting, I spent about $2,500 out of pocket, but nothing was getting me to a normal shoulder. a month ago I went with the capsular release and My rom is back not totally and with much work I am getting better. To say this is hell is an understatement, but now I am trying to see beyond and just keep with the program...YES I suggest you try some acupuncture for relief of pain, but it may not likely cure a FS,,, hope this is helpful....
