Frozen shoulder again!

Hi fellow sufferers

I am on my second frozen shoulder, now in my right arm. My left arm still does not have full movement.

My only relief is knowing that the pain will eventually subside.

The sleepless nights, the difficulty dressing, brushing hair, putting on seat belt, reaching for anything are all getting me down.

Every day I am hoping for it to be a little better.

I tried physio and cortisone injections with my first shoulder, but eventually gave up with it as there was no improvement. I have decided to let it run its course this time.

Have been suffering only 5 months so far and I remember the pain lasted for about 18 months before, so have a long way to go yet!

No one seems to sympathise and you look like you are making a fuss about nothing. But it is very painful, sometimes if I catch it funny it is such agony I cannot move for a few seconds while the pain subsides.

Sometimes the pain also travels down my arm and into my hand.

I know it will improve I just hope its soon!![/size:4af1220ee0]

Had another bad night last night. Couldnt get comfortable. I dont think it helped that earlier in the evening I pushed the oven door closed and the pain shot through my shoulder and down my arm. Had to sit down and swear a lot until the pain passed.

Some days I feel like a crying Shopping is a nightmare reaching up high shelves. Packing all the stuff and loading and unloading the trolley. It kills my arm.[/size:9c17cddaa4]

I am only 39 and having it for the second time, I have only heard that people are over 40 when they have their first experience.[/b:ac6e68638b]

You don't have to wait all that time. I'm on my second one too, this time in my right arm. I saw an orthopedic specialist with my first and had an 'arthroscopic capsular release'. I was in such pain, if he had told me to jump under a bus, I would have done it. Anyway, he suggested this little keyhole op. I was in hospital one night and it was the best move I ever made. The relief was indescribable. I had a few physio sessions afterwards and now one year on my shoulder is completely back to normal. I've booked a private appointment with him this time, for next week. It's costing me a packet but I know it will be worth every penny. I've had the injections, the painful physio, but I know this will work. Go see your GP and get him to refer you. Very best of luck!
