I am 53 years old and just entering menopause. I had a shoulder injury over the New Year's holiday started physical therapy and of January. Within two weeks my shoulder was frozen. I'm going to the GYN next week to go on hormone replacement therapy because I saw thread here at the link between estrogen collagen and soft tissue health .I'm a thin person and I've lost a lot of muscle mass in my legs and had several muscular injuries in the last year . Otherwise surgically they can do a manipulation under Anastasia and a capsulary release orthoscopic surgery It's a long rehab I'm not sure if I'm up for that

You may ask to have your parathyroid tested too. My friend had many musco skeletal injuries. I believe the parathyroid was to blame

I'm in my 50's and perimenopausal when i was diagnosed with frozen shoulder and my orthopedic doctor said there is an increase in frozen shoulder for women who are.
?More needs to be brought up about this as we age. Our primary physicians should be explaining this to us as we enter this phase of our lives. How to exercise as to not over do, etc.....

Hi, sorry to hear you have a FS too. I had a hysterectomy around three years prior to my FS, kept ovaries, not in menopause as of yet.
One of my doctors told me they have no idea why this happens and they frankly, really don't even know how to treat it. I respected the doc for just being honest, wish they would all be so honest with everyone!
Were any of you going through a really intense amount of stress at the onset? I sure was..
