Frozen shoulder Possibly

I have over the last 3-4 weeks been having shooting pains in the left should when I move sometimes. Today at work all of a sudden I could not raise my arm above my chest and it was very painful. I went to the hospital and was given a very quick couple of tests moving my arms in various directions. I was then told it was Frozen shoulder and given pain and antiinflamitory tablets. less than an hour later I can move my arm still slight pain. I am hoping it is not frozen shoulder, but what else could it be? Have any other sufferers had shooting pains, with this condition. Thanks for your time.

I had those shooting pains with my frozen shoulder too but You may not actually have it though because even with meds you wouldn't have such a quick recovery if you did. Usually the rom would still be limited for quite some time. Hopefully you just pulled something and will have A quick recovery

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking the same. having read the horror stories on here. I have only just got back to work after 9 months battling tongue cancer (Which has completly gone , I'm happy to say ) So I did not want to be off again. Thankyou for your kind words, And I hope you make a full recovery, if you have not already.

I hope it's not frozen shoulder if so it's a long process! I had the shooting pains that drop you to your knees but after a couple visits to pt maybe 2 weeks these mostly stopped but the pain continued and still continues 3 months later! I am still in freezing stage so very little rom and lots of pain! It's a long horrifying process! I'm hopping to move to the next stage soon! Hopefully u just pulled something and just need a couple days rest to heal!

Thanks for the reply alison, the shooting pains when they happened took the wind out of me, I to am thinking it is not Frozen shoulder as the movement returned very quickly after taking Naproxen. Very slight pain, but nothing compared to what it was this mornng. I hope you recover quickly and don't have to suffer too much in the future. Thank you for your kind words, and I send you my best wishes.
