Frozen Shoulder...Round 3!! No injury...Not diabetic

I have seen several people who have posted that they have had this in both shoulders. I have had it in both and now on the second time for my right shoulder. This time is much more painful than the first two. I have done my best to wait it out and I just cant take it any long and am considering surgery this time. The three cortisone shots have done nothing for me.
My doctors have said this is an unusual case. They have never mentioned hormone levels. They have been checked twice this year and come back fine. Do I need to ask for a specific test or should I try hormones first to see if they work before I try surgery?
I am a person that just tends to do what the doctor recommends but I don't want surgery if I have another possible option.
Thank you

My surgeon also said their is sn 80% chance it will happen to the other shoulder eek i hope not. i was also told heavy lifting and repetitiveness can cause it. I have read that people have had it reoccur in the same shoulder but my question did theybhave surgery to remove the scar tissue. If not iscit possible the scar tissue could become reinflammed.
i had it my left shoulder i had cortisone injections i hsd physio i had hydrodilation and nothing worked. Wednesday last week i had a subacromial decompressionnand capsular release and its great now reallybpleased i had it done and its much better feeling much more positive although stiff still but inhavecexercises to do 😊

Just the fact that you can be on here typing is a good sign to me. I have a hard time doing that now. If I can do that right after surgery that would be fantastic! I am an Admin Assistant so I type for a living only part time and I can do it from home but it would be nice to stay caught up on my work!! I have missed so many days I am surprised I still have a job. A frozen shoulder and pain is extremely hard to explain to an employer thats for sure!

I was also against having surgery but understand how desperate you can get. Unlike Karen25221 and d59025, hydrodilatation worked well for me and wasn't at all painful - a bit of mild discomfort for a few moments was all I felt. Not sure if it depends on the docor who does it or just the specific frozen shoulder, as we're all differerent. Within 2 days I was pain free and I still am, over 4 months on, with my movements improving all the time. I'd have no hesitation of having it done on my other shoulder, if it happens again. We are all different though and what works for one, doesn't always work for someone else. Good luck, whatever you decide to do.

My doc also ordered pt the day after. I still had the nerve block in my neck so mostly they just assessed my rom.
Then back again 2 days later then twice a week but doing exercises 3x daily at home. I am scheduled for surgery this Thursday on my right arm.
Same drill with pt , next day is first appt. I agree with Karen I would probably take advantage of the overnite stay, unless you are just more comfortable at home,or like me have a dog who would not be a happy guy - lol.
I have read some hospitals have passive range of motion machines that help movement in that first 24 hours.
