Frozen shoulder second time - pain through to wrist

Posted , 5 users are following.

Hi all, second time with a suspected frozen shoulder this time in my dominant arm. one diagnosis is calcification and another doctor says frozen shoulder, i strongly suspect frozen shoulder as its tightening up despite physio. However unlike last time i have pain all down the arm into the bicep area and forearm along with pins and needles at times, I cant drive and even struggle to put my hand in my front pocket at times, has anyone experienced this type of issue with pain through into forearm? And any ideas on pain relief as prescription strength co-codamol and anti-inflamatiry gel isnt touching it?

Hi @jon73953 sorry to hear your plight. I'm 52 years young female with Fibromyalgia and am 5 months into a FS. The lead up to this will be almost 13 months with prior crunching and grinding of the shoulder.

Mine too is my dominant arm and like you I have pain in the bicep and forearm and also weakness at the wrist and occasional lack of dexterity/carpal tunnel. To begin with it was excruciating, sleep was nigh on impossible and there was no respite. I was on 30/500mg of Codeine and Naproxen and even then it was only taking the edge off. I've persisted with exercise at home using all the recommended techniques and whilst the pain is now manageable and sleep is regular, I still struggle with ROM.

I'm waiting for an xray and a referral to an orthopaedic consultant but through the NHS means there will be a wait before I'm seen.

There is a guy who pops up on here from time to time called Colin, he has bilateral FS and has a wealth of knowledge and experience on the subject. I did find that heat and elevation of the arm did help when trying to get to sleep. I overdid the exercises yesterday and I'm feeling it this morning, however, when it first froze up I couldn't do half and a quarter of what I can do now. Reading other people's stories it seems like time, exercise and pain relief arr the 3 key elements to get through it.

    Best wishes, Michelle

pops up from time to time lol

      .

yup struggling badly this month . as with you Michelle no end to grief. actually this morning woke up and could open me eyes. its been haunting me constantly .

      .

Jon i use an ice machine of an evening just to get some rest bite. but its only while it is being used . go for a hydrodilatation to the joint its instant fix. i had a tear in me eye when they done it ( no pain ). and it did not hurt at all.

      .

try google and see it on you tube . also now i am taped up lots. it takes away the " you have to pinch your arm" feeling.

      .

by the way Michelle still waiting for the surgeon report . 4 weeks now since. last week was up all night. was emailing surgeon pleading for the report at 3am. walking room to room.

      .

      still down for tendon surgery.

      .

keep positive Jon and stay strong . its a long journey . good days and shocking days

Thanks Colin & Michelle for comments and info.

Unlike my first FS the pain this time is so much more and like you have been taking co-codomal and naproxen but they dont really do much as its nerve type pain. I have found heat is best as i can then get more movement and relief, I can sleep on my arm but wake up after a few hours and the pain to move it is just agony. Work wise has been an issue as i cant drive, the movement of turning the wheel is nok and doctor stopped me after assessing my rom and strength, but i find some days it is just to painful to drive a mouse as the pain through elbow and forearm is too much.

I am laughing today as yesterday my physio decided to try some unexpected manipulation and lets just say he stopped more or less immediately as my arm wouldnt move where he thought it would go and i lay on the bed writhing, all day was agony but today pain is tolerable so you have to laugh. I will look at hydrodilation as hoping to get a referral to orthopaedic in 2 weeks and may push for mua or release as I am only 2 months into the freezing but its a lot worse than my left was and i found mua worked then. But last time I did not have the bicep and lower arm nerve type pain so not sure if that changes the treatment route, I can only however imagine NHS timeline will be lengthy.

Best of luck to you both.

      .

the physio doing manual stretching. like you i was like a pig to slaughter wriggling and squeaking on the physio bench.

      .

so jon did you have MUA for the other shoulder. was it done at hospital under general anastetic . and did it work.

      .

i had the full 360 capsule release. which for the first 5 weeks the joint was like a new born and pain free. i used a CPM machine day and night and was on target. now a buggered up bicep tendon needs re attaching so back to the start.

      .

you mentioned you found heat good for you. i purchased from the USA from T- SHELLZ / the mend me shop a electro magentic shoulder brace which also heats up. the electro part is aimed deep into the joint !!. on a cold morning i found it kick started my shoulder into kind of working.

      .

and uddermint for cows teets. yes really!!!!. you dont know how far i will go to be pain free lol. it is stronger than deep heat.

      .

if some one said put a chicken on your head and run around the garden and it will cure you. i am there !!!!.

      .

the uddermint is 50% peppermint oil and it warms up your shoulder in a nice way and as a bonus you get to smell like a humbug as well. it does distract the pain for a while.

      .

thats all the things we do seem to be about just distracting the pain until it come back to haunt . especially at 3am all quiet nothing moving except people with FS.

      .

i have fast tracked my treatment and paid for it myself. like you naproxen and pain relief just dont cut the ache and its such a private thing to have people just dont get it. and me being with a gang of workers i just get the pee taken out if me shoulder all the time as thought they dont believe me..

      .

keep us updated jon and if you come across some miracle cure ( not a chicken on the head ). please share

      .

and if you are down with pain have a rant on here to us . we know the ache

You're inspirational Colin with your positivity and determination. Unless you've ever experienced a frozen shoulder, nobody can ever truly appreciate the all consuming affect it has on every facet of your life. Great news that you're making progress. I have got a date through today too for an EMG at the end of this month. This is the golden egg that will rule out anything sinister which I fear may be underlying with all my issues. Neurologist said he is only doing it to provide reassurance to me.

The last 12 months of my life have been dictated by health, hospital and GP appointments, medication and health forums!

      Keep in touch Colin 🙏💙

My GP has mentioned MUA 😖

Have you tried Gabapentin? That is recommended for nerve pain. It's a tough one to come off though from what I understand.

If you're managing to sleep on it you're doing better than I was.

I feel for you, keep in touch and let us know how you get on. I find it quite comforting this group, knowing I'm not alone with my suffering.

      Hi Colin

The mua worked well, it was quick and painful but they knocked me out and gave me morphine/tramadol and then codeine so that kind of meant I was like a walking zombie for the first week. The physio after was really hard as every day was like breaking the healing but after 2 weeks I was at about 70% of full range and after 8 weeks I was at 95%, I have never got back to full movement and cant swing my arm over. If you imagine swimming backstroke my left arm just doesnt go right over it kind of goes outwards.

      Hi LoobyM

I have had pregaballin for a while before due to a disk condition that occasionally flares up and got onto a big dosage as i was getting a lot of nerve pain as the disk compressed my nerve. I hadnt thought about that but yes may help, might have to try. As I mentioned to Colin the mua worked but i was well aware it was not guaranteed to work and it did but i only got 95% rom.

      Good luck

Hope you get it sorted soon and likewise thanks for listening, I do laugh about it and I honestly thought the physio had broke my arm. The first thing I struggled with was the hoover but then I found ironing was ok - that is just bizzare to me but hey ho.

Colin my mua was private through insurance, there was some bruising but it was gone after a week. I really got it into my head I wanted to go home asap and being a late morning job I was back in bed about midday and then I slept for about 90 mins, woke up and told my wife to come pick me up. I got out after nagging the staff but really I was so high it was not good, to make it better my daughter had a visitor turn up at the door about 5 pm and I answered the door but looked really rough and just muttered to him. The shambolic man answering the door to my 16 year old daughters interested visitor was something to behold - I am an embarassment apparently when it was all I could do to not fall over, the joy of tramadol and morphine.

      well today is the day

      .

had the report through. the tendonosis is attributed to the frozen shoulder.

      .

been summonsed to hospital this morning. had the surgeon secretary on the phone within hours making a appointment.

      .

got me paperwork and ready for a full circle of the M25 today. thats just as painful.

      .

got to go through operation options and costs . i am still holding out for a non surgical option here. the paperworks said otherwise.

      .

the real shame is if this was not through an insurance this would never happen so quick. shame the NHS got so bad post covid.

      .

i will add later whats to happen

what a day you've had Colin!

Glad you have got the best results you could have hoped for.

I'm still waiting for my orthopaedic referral through the NHS. Because I have fibromyalgia, my medical insurance won't cover a lot of stuff, which is a bugger.

So in terms of your bilateral FS, I am now starting to experience some muscle popping and grinding in my left shoulder (non dominant) and a little bit of discomfort. How and when did your 2nd one freeze up? Are your FS a result of your job do you think?

And lastly, HTF do you manage with two FS? 🤦‍

      Hi Looby/Colin

Good news no knife Colin, let us know how it goes. I have my next physio Monday and asked him last week to refer me as its helping but I cant go without driving for a year and its helping not solving. Not sure what will happen and whether it will be an op or a needle but I just want it done with and dont care.

Looby my 2nd FS started 4 years after the first and it was a sharp pain at extremes of movement such as dressing into a long sleeve top, it then started hurting in my sleep after lying on it, neither ever started with an injury and I dont have diabetes or a thyroid issue as far as I am aware. My previous FS has resolved but has never fully recovered its full movement and even today is a little clunky but its more or less there and I was able to do resistance work with it so its ok.

Hi Jon, thanks for sharing. I'm on levothyroxine for borderline underactive thyroid so I appreciate I'm more susceptible to FS. Well that's if I'm to believe what I read online. I have an EMG on the 26th March, which I'm glad about. I've had a load of symptoms going on since Nov20, some of them pretty scary. 25 minute episode of clonus in my legs was the worst. Fast forward almost 1.5 years later and I'm told its fibromyalgia. I've seen 2 neurologists (most recent Jan22) and a rheumatologist. The reason I'm telling you all this is because it my worry that my FS is something more than FS, especially with symptoms now progressing to my other shoulder. Both neurologist have told me its nothing sinister (ALS/MND) but the EMG will rule it either way for sure. MRI of brain neck and spine all good. Just so many Neuro symptoms going on. My right shoulder/arm is tonnes better than it was before Xmas but like you, in terms of ROM I'm still limited with what I can do with it. I exercise my shoulders/arms daily to try and keep the flexibility going and not lose too much muscle.

    • Edited

Looby I have had lots if tests for thyroid, heart, spinal and all sorts of adrenal tests. I have hypoaldosteronism but it is very close to normal range and was diagnosed due to me presenting with postural hypotension. Happy to say none relate to my FS so its just one of lifes mysteries and I dont worry why I have another FS. I guess what I am saying is its good to find the cause but if one doesnt exit then thats ok by me and if they find its nothing in your tests then I hope you dont worry about it. Good luck.

just mailed the solicitor and mr harley street specialist and the surgeon and work lol.

      .

the specialist who over sees the case is not happy about the injections. i am asking for clarification on the direction of care.

      .

so flipping political. i just need to be ache free for once. as you and jon know ITS AN ACHE FROM HELL.

      .

being self employed up to this injury i had 10k put aside for an accident. i was employed and it happened. now spent all that trying to recover.

      .

      2 hydrodialtations

      1 capsule removed

he thinks its time to stop jabbing and cut out the bad bit. really ruined the day overall.

      .

so now i have to present the new direction costs and time line as wanted by the surgeon. which will fail

      .

and costs of the operation done as directed by the head consultants wishes. what he wants

      .

going home bottle prosecco and fry up some big prawns in garlic .

      .

      not happy one bit

Hi Colin, thats crappy but at least you got prawns. I like them fried in the oil that was used for antipasti tomatoes then tossed into linguine with lots of pepper and a bit of torn basil with pecorino on top. If you have wine with that and some sourdough or focaccia then its always a good day whatever other things are going on. My week has been sleepless for the most part aside from Tuesday night bizarrely, but the underlying constant pain has been a little less as I havent had phsysio. Weekend is nigh now and going to put some beers in fridge for tonight and its washing down a curry. Have a good one.

Hey Colin, good to hear from you! You're a resilient guy I'll give you that!

Glad to hear you're getting sorted. Keep the updates coming.

I have my EMG on Saturday, to see if my brain, nerves and muscles are working as they should. I also have an xray scheduled for April 5th for my FS and an appt with the orthopaedic consultant the same day.

In terms of progress, I've got a better range of movement back and I'm not experiencing the excruciating pain when using it and exercising it. The real turning point for me had been this last couple of weeks where slowly but surely I'm able to fasten my bra behind my back. As fellas I don't imagine you will appreciate what an achievement that is, but believe me it is huge progress from where I've come from.

This improvement has all come from.me using a tension band for stretches, weights to try and maintain muscle tone and flexibility and the physio exercises I was given.

I'm probably about 75% healed, but that other 25% I feel may never come.

Will be interesting to see what the xray shows and what the consultant has to say.

Keep us in the loop Colin 👊💪

Hi all, interesting few weeks. Physio said he cant do any more and referred me on, insurance company refused a referral from a Physio so I was in limbo a bit. Funny thing is it was an insurance doctor that referred me for physio to see if that helped with an open letter of referral if it didn't so went round in circles. I saw another doctor from insurance who was angry that I had been sent straight to physio as he stated they didnt even know what they were treating you for as in the underlying cause.

So after nearly 2 weeks I am just waiting an appointment for an orthopedic consultant. I suspect it will be next week as its medical insurance from work, I moan but I am lucky to have insurance and I do know that. In a lot of respects my employer is really good for things like this so feel quite lucky.

Still getting a lot of discomfort and pain with no real improvement or worsening in rom, it really feels different to last FS where I had a lot less movement in some planes very quickly. This time it is more of a rotational issue like when driving I could not turn a wheel and I really struggle to put deodarant on my left armpit or touch my left shoulder.

Anyhow glad to hear you are all able to see the end, I know that you may not get all movement back but you know it takes an age for the last rom to come back even if thats not to a previous level, the last 10% I found took 3+ months for me. So keep pushing forwards when in recovery and you will get there step by step with small victories.

      Hi Jon

      .

flipping insurance companies. have ya jumping through hoops for no reason.

      .

your second shoulder. mine was different as like you. you know it is but it isn'n. all the tell tail signs are there but not the same issues ?.

      .

my second shoulder failed 7 months later on the time line. deep down i knew. but it did not respond in the same way with the hydrodilatation injection . it still hurt in a different way.

      .

my first time under the knife was for sub acromial decompression surgery to the second joint..

      .

it was put down to over working the good are and peeing off the tendon. with out knowing you use the un injured arm.

      .

could this be a reason for the joint. google S.A.D problems and do the arch test. it could be impinging.

      .

its just an idea for you. and yes we are the small % of people who get a second lovely go at being in ache..

      .

like you i have the insurance company waiting via my solicitor. like you the company are backing me up on the injury. well it was their fault.

      .

biggest worry is since all the too'ing and throw'ing with the Harley street specialist me shoulder has not ached as much lol..

      .

i keep on thinking i have won. then i have to go back to the start again. he give me an 85-90% chance of being out of pain.

      .

he is going to abide with my wish of a tendonesis. re fix the tendon back down the humeral head and have a rummage while he is in there for any other possible cause of all this.

      .

and all from a bad frozen shoulder. got to have 20 weeks off work. first 6 weeks immobilised. thats what worries me. not the operation..

      .

had to take out £10,000 loan while insurance get their head together, £8005 for the op. £500 for a special brace ( if i am to be wounded i am in style) lol.

      .

rest on special physio in rehab.

      .

have ordered the sun tan lotion. and have the hot tub ready for a hard summer lol. happy days.

      Hey Colin,

      Good to hear from you.

Is the pain constant or just on exertion? What pain relief are you on?

I feel for you pal, no wonder you're grumpy, you have every right to be!

Pain is a truly awful thing, especially when it's unrelenting with little or no respite.

At least you haven't long to wait now. Do keep us posted and let us know how if goes, that's if your able to use your phone/computer.

So my orthopaedic appt and xray were cancelled as I got covid!! 2 years I dodged that bullet! Just done another test today and almost negative now.

I now have my xray on the 19th, consultation on the 26th. I get my EMG results on the 27th.

My shoulder has got some ROM back but christ, it feels and sounds like it's dislocating. Not sure what the hell is going on. Still experiencing dexterity issues and forearm pain and left shoulder symptoms increasing too.

I started taking anti depressants about 3 months ago cos my health anxiety has been through the roof. Lots more stuff going on than just my shoulder.

Trying to stay positive though and have gratitude for what I can do with my arms.

I walk every day and continue with my weights and exercises at home.

Trying to be like you Colin and kick it's arse! 🥊

    • Posted

just to add, I don't walk on my arms 🤣

      Hi Michelle

      .

great attitude to have "kick arse". keep that and win..

      .

are you ok and recovered now thats more important. and what a git to catch at this time.

      .

doctor put me on (up to) 400mg codeine and 4000mg paracetamol per day. and yes this week i don't hurt. mmmmmmm i wonder why.

      .

i am only taking next too weeks only at night as i have to re do our drive. 7 tonne out and 7 tonne in. then the house is finished. taken 8 years to build.

      .

on the pain front. unlike frozen shoulder this is constant in any position at any time. there is no let up..

      .

i had the immobiliser arrive yesterday. fitted it up. ho my god i cannot even prepare food. totally immobile and fixed. even the fingers.

      .

trying it out for a few nights as it has to be comfy and pre set up.

      .

write this down. "colintaylor928" and i will tell you later why. as this chat room is so hard to write properly in . thats if you dont mind

Hey Colin, apart from being a bit chesty and congested, we're fully recovered from Covid thanks.

Got the results of my EMG today, all clear. Got a call with the Neurologist to talk through the results at the end of the month. Can't tell you what a relief it was to get that news.

Shoulder continues to improve, albeit slowly 🐌

ROM nowhere near what it should be but I'm happy with what I can do versus where I was with it.

Please keep in touch Colin. I admire your grit and determination, you're an absolute legend 💪

If I dont hear from you before, have a good Easter holiday. Catch you soon.

Hi all, been out the loop a few weeks but back again and glad you can see the end Colin and Looby you seem to be going forwards. I finally got see another doctor and another consultant, doctor was livid that they had done no tests but went straight to physio and he asked if they new what they were treating. Latest consultant suggests that I likely have calcific tendinitis or possibly something on the bone. I actually have good rom in some planes that he suspects was possibly helped by the physio but he also agreed the physio should not have tried manipulation (most pain I had and was bad enough to stop me working). The pain for me is getting worse and at night its agony as i move my arm in my sleep and in general its worse now, i have 30mg/500mg co-codamol but doesnt really take all the pain away, but I had x-ray and the MRI is on Saturday so I am trying to get a follow up consultation next week.

Hope everyone is good, keep on going its sunny so what is there to moan about and I have a concert at the weekend, happy days.

      .

good stuff mate. and an MRI to boot as well.

      .

hope you can get that under control. there was a thing i tried on my tendon "alas it done me no good" as it was for calcific tendonitis..

      .

have you herd of extra caporial shockwave treatment. kind if a super ultra sound. aimed at breaking the calcium up and improving the time to repair.

      .

while talking to the medical people just throw that into the mix. make ya sound like you know what to do lol..

      .

let us know if its a bone spur you have. that will rub on the tendon on high elevation and make it sore.

      .

two weeks to day and counting for me. then i hope a good nights sleep. in an immobileser i will be awake for other reasons now. lol

we have a new member of our famous gang who is suffering as well introduce ya self as a fellow one armed bandit

      .

glad your safe and getting seen

At last a confirmed diagnosis SLAP tear and frozen shoulder, so at last its confirmed but the freezing is getting worse and last 2 weeks have been hell. Anyhow I am now going to have an MUA first and then the consultant will treat the frozen shoulder with physio and then the slap tear. The tear is type 1 so its not surgery just more physio to see if it improves.

    • Edited

mate what a shocker for you and its frozen up as well. feel for you so much. its a quiet slow silent torture.

      .

its a shame he could not do the ACR to the frozen joint and could have taken a peek at the labrum and addressed it as well. two jobs in one go. and recovery is pain free!!!!.

      .

try an ice machine. will give relief of an evening with out stuffing gazillion milligrams of pain killers .

      .

when are you down to have it done. suppose ya want it ASAP and get you on the mend again

      .

know he is the expert but can you ask doing MUA which is literally tearing the capsule while knocked out. it will not affect the labrum tear or make it worse. research it and email your questions.

      .

i have a great knack of questioning whats to be done and whats right for yourself. i found you do have some say in this.

      .

my surgeon and consultant wanted to just cut my tendon and leave it (popeye procedure ). i went back and Insisted he cut it off the labrum and wired it under the pecs muscle bone structure.

      .

hence laying here in an immobiliser recovering PAIN FREE. first time in years.

      .

keep us all up dated on this

Cheers Colin, will ask as I have a call Monday and hoping to get surgery in either 10 days or 6 weeks as I have some things planned in early June that were 50th birthday gifts (concerts & holidays) that I just cant cancel. Pain management is doing my wifes head in as I dont like taking tablets unless I really have too and so sometimes I must admit I get grumpy, also like most people on here know it only realky takes the edge off. At least I know now why my bicep hurts so much as it is not just the FS. Anyhow its sunny so I am off for a long walk and a stop at the pub for a couple. Have a good weekend.

    • Edited

      Hi J

      .

oooo thats not a bad wait. like you last year i had to cancel things that were booked around my birthday in April. and put off finishing our house build

      .

this year for it to happen again. i had to take 2 weeks holiday to do the cancelled jobs from last year. finishing the house 3 days before the operation.

      .

lisa said i was nesting. like a woman getting ready pre birth. i was laying a drive pre operation week. imagine that final week with me bicep how grumpy i was.

      .

i had to succumb to the pain meds 30/500.

i never take pain med as a rule. i did the box of 100. but each night packed the tendon in ice.. but finished the drive yay.

      .

i just confirmed to me to have it chopped out in the final week and re fixed.

      .

as you properly have noticed its a different hurt to frozen joint. making us guys twice as grumpy than the girls.

      .

Michelle, piper and barb we dont have a womans pain tolerance. we have things like man colds lol.

      .

but glad you got a prognosis just a double pooer.

      .

please research it. i know the consultant knows what he is doing. ya just get one go at the tendon.

      .

colin you should write a book about your journey!

you are funny and how you have kept your sense of humour throughout is beyond me.

Like you I have the support of an amazing spouse.

things must've been really bad to go at the 30/500.

I hope you continue to recover the way you are doing. No doubt Lisa will have other jobs lined up for you once you're "mended" 🤣

    • Posted

Colin/Looby, the 30/500 are sat in my bedside draw, my medicine cabinet and my work lunch bag in case but like you all I really dont like them. Its when I overdo things that its the worst pain and that does wind my wife up as she is always saying do what you can and not what you cant. Ice and heat is the key. No driveways but gardening is the one that I enjoy and gives me grief.

      Hi Michelle.

      .

things lined up, lisa does a snagging list on my work.

      .

i have to hand the different areas of the house over snag free lol. busmans holiday.

      .

still waiting for summer. i booked this operation around sunny weather. wander out early morning, cup coffee , slice toast , relax on the furniture, get a tan

      .

I am glad you can appreciate the humour side of life. Don’t get me wrong some days I could just curl up with a cold packs

      .

we all know them days don’t we and also nights turning into a vampire or vampiress

      .

this week‘s agenda Doctors tomorrow wound change / removal. physio starts Thursday afternoon at Histon Cambridge.

      .

I said write a book about my shoulder or shoulders I feel it a pain diary every week and also put it in the computer every week it’s now 30,000 words long so if you feel like reading it at any time.

      .

it details down the amount of pain relief . drawings of where the pain is how much sleep I have. how grumpy I am it’s such an interesting read LOL.

      .

I don’t think it would make the best sellers list. I have to record everything in case it’s needed for the insurance claim oh sorry holiday money fund. it cleaned out my slush fund for emergencies. along time ago.

      .

once I am mended we are going on a holiday of a lifetime to compensate for the pain I’ve been in over the years

      Hi Michelle

      .

final wound dressing removed. arthroscopic port holes healed completely no scab no bruising absolutely fantastic.

      .

the main scar the used internal dissolvable stitches and super glued the skin.

      .

got yet another box of painkillers 30/500 to add to the collection. I got told off by the nurse my blood pressure was too high.

      .

it was at 105 not 78. all be it i had just walked 2 miles drank 2 cups strong coffee and a can coke ( caffeine ) kick.

      .

now got to record me blood pressure for the nurse lol.

      .

got a injury note for work for the next 8 weeks to start. just walked 5 mile round trip to next village to get some stamps. pleasant walk across fields in sun shine. lisa had to go back to work as phone / broadband line is down. to do a fuel order. she only has 15 mins to place the order

      .

all on me own until "yay" lol

      .

hey Colin, Good to hear from you and with such good news too. Obviously not the blood pressure bit!

How has the pain been now all the hospital cocktail of drugs has worn off?

      How's the ROM?

8 weeks in the sunshine will see you reet I'm sure. Especially if this weather continues!

I got a letter from the neurologist yesterday to say he is referring me back to my GP to manage my symptoms. He said my EMG has shown no indication of nerve or muscle disease. Still makes me wonder why every bone in my body clicks and creaks when I move!

He claims it's my Fibromyalgia, who am I to argue!

Still waiting for my NHS appt for my ultrasound and possibly course of injections. I'm doing OK though so I'm not clock watching.

I was referred for some CBT therapy in January this year, I finally had a call from them last week to make an appointment. 5 months been waiting. The irony of it is, the CBT is to help with my health anxiety 🤣

I'm like you, like to keep active. We walk every day (at least 5k) come rain or shine. We did Scafell Pike last year.

Keep keeping on Colin and stay in touch. I look forward to your updates 💪

      hi J

      .

just thinking out side the box here. .

      .

i have been told about hyaluronic acid for tendon issues by a couple of health workers.

      .

its what is in the elasticity of the tendon and joint structure

      .

i have started this week taking it as a supplement from holland and barrett. i will try anything to help the issue along. even my boss had bad knee issues within 3 months he was fine ( or he just got better lol).

      .

for reference they gave me H&B. skin. high strength. timeless.

      .

it has max amount of Hyaluronic acid and collagen . ( tendons and joints ).

      .

the surgeon wanted to inject these into the sheath beginning of the year !!!.

      .

so on the down side it don't work.

      .

on the up side all them frown lines from the ache may disappear and i may look 10 years younger lol.

      .
