FROZEN SHOULDER SHOULD I BE OFF WORK

I have had frozen shoulder for about 4 months now, diagnosed by GP and phsiotherapist. Shoulder and arm painful and aching all time even with painkillers. movement very limited. I knocked shoulder today when walking through a doorway and the agony lasted 2 minutes. Also happened when my dog was in my way and I had to move suddenly. I never experienced pain like that before. can't sleep etc and can't tie my hair up for work (wake my kids up to do it for me) washing hair one handed just about coping. Finding work and driving very difficult. keep thinking about going off sick, but surely can't stay of sick for months on end. Can't decided what to do about work. I am a home help and need to be able to shower, folk and help them dress etc. (could do with the help myself)..... fed up! sad

I was the same fs in left shoulder I also had my appointment cancel out to unavailable clinical on about 3 occasions until I finally had it done last September now 10 months on and I have 95% movement back in arm , I do still get the pain from time to time. But just take co-codamol to help and it does am back to work and moving my shoulder about my head without being in contastly pain. Physio sort off helped but just keep going it will get better soon can take up to 3-5 years until completely 100% . But now my right shoulder is beginning to freeze .

Frozen shoulder is thought to happen when scar tissue forms in the shoulder. This causes the shoulder joint's capsule to thicken and tighten, leaving less room for movement. Movement may become stiff and painful.
