Good Morning

I love fruit and eat plenty,also i have Manuka honey,  my question is as we have to be aware of diabetes should we be aware how much we eat, does our body process natural sugar in a different way to processed sugars.Just a thought, been awake and up since 5.30( and was hungry so thought have some fruit before breakfast then thought am i having too much)confused

    No, sugar is sugar is sugar - whether it is ordinary honey, manuka honey, maple syrup, brown sugar or white sugar it is treated the same way by the body. And fruit has quite a lot of natural sugar which is less bad for you than the processed stuff in cakes and snacks but still isn't a good thing if you do develop diabetes - or obesity...

      Eileen very true all things in moderation wise to do research on the gyicemic index the rule of thumb is the darker in color the fruit or vegetable the lower the glycemic index example would be sweet potato vs white potato.
