I just dont know whats going on!? this bv comes out of no where sometimes..or maybe ive just had it this whole time? my vaginal ph is 4.0 which is not a characteristic of bv but i have discharge that doesnt smell...its the OUTSIDE of my vagina that smells very fishy and is sore and irritated...doctors do not find clue cells so they will not treat me..but then why the fishy smell??? is it possible this is just a skin thing and my sweat or stress is triggering this? has anyone had similar symptoms? or found anything thats helped??

unless a bv sample is put straight on a microscope after it been taken u can get false negatives with the test because bacteria dies before it gets to the lab it dosnt live long outside the body so a test is not very reliable unless u get a self test kit so it can be tested straght away mine always came back negative but i was still treated for bv because of the fish smell as soon as i told the doctor she gave me medication

im not sure eat would cause a fishy smell on just the outside as mines always been the discharge and inside the vagina that smelt i cant think of anything it could be as most skin problems on the outside of the vagina have symptoms such as soreness etc there would be other things with that not just a smell

change ur soap ...I swear by dr bonners unscented bar soap...I spelled his name wrong .....but it should still pop up on amazon

i tried changing mine it made no difference at all because its a vaginal infection u need to treat it first soap will not kill bacteria inside the vagina alone

yes absolutely ,that's what I said n my last post...tbh I dont think none of these techniques would fully work unless u start with an antibiotic first n then maintain it using whatever technique works for u

i tried most antibiotics the only one that has worked so far is vaginal clindamycin cream the oral ones got rid of it for 2 weeks and then it came back i got bad yeast infection from them aswel and made me feel like s**t

Did it come back after you tried the Clindamycin cream? I've been using that for about 3 days but I had to stop because it was making me very dry irritated and inflamed down there like a severe yeast infection but the smell did go completely away and hasn't come back yet.

nope i had the cream for 7 nights best thing iv ever tried dont know why i didnt just try that to start with....i got my period a day after completing the 7 nights so i had to wait for that to finish before i could tell if it had gone or not once my period stopped the smell of bv would always be there it came after every period so far iv been free of bv for the last month not had nothing down there and instead of being wet im completly dry im totally back to how it was when i didnt have it

if u still have 2 more nights to do i recommend u still do them as its worth it what i did was take an oral probiotic from boots when i stopped using the cream so as to keep yeast at bay iv not had anything didnt get no side effects from the cream like i did with tablets
