Frustrating!!

Well, this a pain. Diagnosed Coeliac after blood test, my doctor leaves, new doctor. A different test, i am not coeliac!

Crikey bit confusing. Apparently have genetic predispositon to becoming coeliac.  Then did bloods to see if allergic to grains, dairy and something else.  So now it looks like wheat intolerance. Whoopee! What do i do? Start eating all the things i had taken out of my diet with first doc. Doesn't make me feel anywhere as well as going totally gluten free as some symptoms recurred. depression, swollen tummy, tiredness, sleep deprivation etc.I think i will just eat basic foods and make sure no gluten. Maybe a little now and then as a treat. Like a real cake or biscuit. The saga continues!

You do not test positive for Celiac and then not have it.  False positive tests are EXTREMELY RARE.  False negative test happen often. Remember, the FDA ALLOWS GLUTEN IN GLUTEN FREE PRODUCTS ... HUH? That is correct, the FDA allows 20ppm of gluten in food.  There are degrees of Celiac - little known topic but painfully true!  Stay gluten free, TOTALLY GLUTEN FREE.

Have you had an endoscopy with biopsies? That is the most accurate way to get diagnosed. The blood test is just the preliminary test. If you intend having it done you need to eat gluten for 6 weeks beforehand, to get an accurate diagnosis.

Your symptoms seem seem to suggest coeliac disease. Have you thought about ringing Coelic UK? They are very helpful and will give you a lot more information.  If you tell them your plight, they are sure to come up with some advice.
