FSGS and Minimal change disease -kidneys

I had a kidney biopsy done in the 1980's. At first, I was diagnosed as having minimal change disease but later I was told I also had focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. Only recently I discovered that they may be genetic disorders. None of my family have these kidney disorders.

I was not given any drugs in the 1980's,. except for high blood pressure medications and a statin and reflux medications. My doctor at that time told me he did not know how to treat me mainly because my blood tests were normal but my proteinuria was high. He told me that normally he saw individuals with my medical conditions on their death beds.

In 2012 , when I was referred to another renal doctor, I was given prednisone then GenGraf,, these 2 drugs had no effect on my kidney disorders. Later, he told me since I had multiple medical conditions, he did not know how to treat me. I have over 20 . I also have 47 chromosomes.I don't know if this genetic disorder caused my other medical disorders. I had hypertension, acid reflux, hyperlipidemia, contracted bladder, hematuria, asthma, diabetes type 2, obstructive sleep apnea, obesity, arthofibrosis, edema, left ventricular hypertrophy, deep venous thrombosis, vitamin D deficiency, statis dermatitis, peripheral neuropathy, subclinical hypothyroidism, anemia, thrombocytopenia and retractile testes. Those occurred between 2004 to 2013. Those were not all of my medical conditions. In 2017, I got osteopenia. In another forum in xxy, I referred to myself as being unique.

Eventually, in 2014, I incurred I got end stage renal disease, so I am now on dialysis. I actually lost 88 pounds of water through dialysis from February 2014 to July 2014, so what I thought I was overweight or obese I was actually retaining water.

Also, in 2014, I had my left leg cut off below the knee due to gangrene and lost of circulation in May and then in October and November 2014, had all my toes removed on my right leg also due to gangrene and loss of circulation.

You would expect me to be in a state of crisis, in 2018, but you would be surprised. I had the worse days in 2014, but I am a happy person to be alive in September 2018. I do have some days that I am not a happy person, but most of the time, I am.

I did forget to mention I am gay male and have always been HIV negative. Having 47 chromosomes or being a xxy male is more important to me than having multiple medical problems.

I hope you will never experience the multiple problems I have had in the past or in the future. In fact, I am waiting for the next medical problem to occur. I hope it is soon.
