FSH test are basically useless as they have no baseline to compare them too.During premenopause hormones fluctuate on daily meaning results can come back normal depends on when the blood was taken. Also FSH test are only recommend for women under 40 as a means of diagnosis of menopause. The UK nice guidelines recommend diagnosing Premenopause on symptoms alone for that very reason.

I'm in the U.S. and finally got my endocrinologist to test mine. I'm 53 and had a hysto but kept my ovaries when I was 32. Without a period its impossible to tell where I am in this hell. I have a ton of health issues going on and meno is definitely one of them..

    LH

    Your Value

    38.8 mIU/mL

Postmenopausal Females without HRT 5.16-61.99 mIU/mL

    FSH

    Your Value

    72.98 mIU/mL

    Post Menopausal Females 26.72 - 133.41 mIU/mL

    Estradiol

    Your Value

    7.0 pg/mL

    Postmenopausal <6.0 - 54.7

As you can see I'm smack dab in the middle of meno except my Estradiol levels, just barely out of normal range. As someone else said these numbers change hourly. But for me its serving as my baseline. I get tested again with my other labs in Jan, so it'll be interesting to see where they are. I'm so over all this crap!

No idea! I'm having thyroid issues and have thyroid eye disease.. she's doing every test known to man but didn't do that one. But she's repeating the hormone panel when I get my other labs done for my thyroid.. its down to 1.2 and should be around 5. I've been thru so many tests that are pointing one direction or another but nothing concrete. One point towards hashimotos, one says Graves, one says "its all in your head" lol. But at least I have validation that I'm post meno and praying this crap eases up soon..
