FSH numbers

I have been testing my hormone levels through my doctor for several years now. I just looked back at last year's and this years. My FSH has gone from 8.7 to 14.6 in one year. Isn't 16 the marker for being in menopause?

There's a large range for FSH, so even though you have entered the lower end of the range, it doesn't mean that you have reached menopause, unless you've gone 365 days without a period.

Unfortunately, there is no reliable hormone test that can tell you how close you are to reaching menopause.
