Full Rotator Cuff surgery post surgery medication

Hi,

Next month I am having surgery on a full rotator cuff tear. A number of years ago I had my other rotator cuff repaired. Knowing how painful this is, will the Doctors still prescribe oxycodone or percocet after surgery? I am most concerned about pain for the first 3 to 5 days. Thank you.

yes of course. they will keep you comfortable with medication as needed. its important while healing to stay ahead of the pain and especially with physical therapy its a must. good luck with your surgery.

Great thank you for your reply. The other thing I just realized is it is Arthroscopic surgery. My last surgery was open surgery so hopefully it won't be as painful. My Dr. office emailed me back Friday and Toradol and tramacet is what they are giving me so I am not sure where that is on the removing pain scale but we'll see.
