Hi just wondering if anyone has been told from a doctor after having their gall bladder removed that they have developed a condition called functional dyspepsia which is inflammation of the gullet abd top of the stomach due to what they eat?

After having mine removed I still have chronic nausea. After loads of tests showing nothing, I have been told I have functional nausea.

    Hi Carol

I had a difficult gallbladder surgory 3 years ago too. The Surgon put a whole into gallbladder that he could pull it out beacuse it was inflamed and swallon. But he dropped some stones beacuse of the whole and in his report he said that he believed he could get them all. Beacuse of that he also performed Cholingigram with contrast that he inject to my douadunom to see if there were any stones in bile ducks. So I don't know if he left any damage or scares inside that I have this much of pain even after 3 years. He never told me about the procedure and what or how he did it. I found all these Infos by getting my medical history. Since the surgory I was not a same person I've always had pain at the same spot. I went back to the Surgon around 5 times and asked him the cause of the pain but he had no clue. He ordered some CTs, Althrosounds, MRCP but nothing was found. Recently I end up with sever stomach pain. I feel the pain in my both sides, sometimes goes to my back and to my shoulders and chest and I can't sleep on my left side beacuse it's painful. I've lost so much weight beacuse of the pain. This time I went to 3 different GI doctores but they couldn't tell me what was my problem. Still there is no answer.

I've research and self diagnose my self on Google. And i told the docs my findings but as usual they ignored my researchs.

Tell me more about your symptoms and how did they find out about it? I mean through what test or imagings?

I am awaiting a repeat MRI scan and the surgeon is considering doing a MRCP test as i mentioned the surgeon who removed my gall bladder said she couldnt find 2 of the stones and said she didnt know where they had gone. I met a professor at a different hospital on monday and said its a possiblity i am suffering with functional dyspepsia as my symptoms are nausea vomiting chest pain back pain abdominal pain upper both sides. Food makes it worse and this professor said this is because your gullet and top of your stomach is getting inflammed the problem i have is he wants my g.p. to train me to inject myself on a regular basis with a drug which is the same as taking 24 tablets all at once he wants me to inject it to the muscle the thing that scares me is he said once injected into the muscle it will relax the muscles in my eyes so my vision will be completely blurrex and i wont be able to forcus this scares me

      Carol

So sorry to hear this. But it seems that we both suffers from the same thing. But I wonder why the MRCP without contrast that I did, didn't show anything then? Was your MRI or MRCP with contrast? And tell me carol for how long you should inject that medication and is there any cure for it? Is this condition life threatening? What if there are some stones left inside what will happen if they can't find them? Will they resolve by themselves?

      What are other options?
