G.P. told me that functional cyst wouldn't cause pain.

Hi all,

I went to the G.P. yesterday as I was experiencing a fair bith of pain for painrelief as it was very difficult to function in work.  He prescribed Ponstan but then proceeded to tell me that a functional cyst wouldn't be the cause of my pain. Is he right as the radiologist who conducted my scan asked whether I had been experiencing pain??

You know if you getting pain you are the one with the cyst, could

    Be

Pressing on it. I had no pain initially

Then it started and progressed quickly more

Uncomfortable than unbearable pain. My doc said it was because

I was aware of it. Which was rubbish as totally different to what they

    Diagnosed and had mass in

My tube which was blowing up and eventually tAngled around the ovary itself. So they

    Don't really know till

They get in there and they not

Experiencing what you are going through xx

      Hi,

Thanks so much for replying to my query.  Initially I was really thrown by what he said but I'm at the stage where I'm ignoring him and going with what the hospital has to say.

I hope that your pain has abated and that they have looked after you properly.

      Take care and thanks again.

Unfortunately your doctor I think is wrong. How does he no if it causes pain or not! Makes me so mad when these doctors presume. You no your own body at the end of the day so listen to your own intuition. If your not happy then you must insist and keep pushing for answers. It's you that's in pain at the end of the day. Take care.

      Hi Sandra,

Thanks a million for replying to my query.  I think that with some doctors if they don't or can't diagnose the problem themselves they tend to take it personally.

Take it easy and thanks again.
