I wonder why you are on this med.  It is for controlling seizures,,nerve pain associated   with shingles etc. I Would NOT be taking it,,especially if it was just making me feel worse. cAn you not call your gp and tell the. It,is making you ill?

Have you researched this drug to see why it was given for MAV?  You're probably exoerincing withdrawal, symptoms

Yes I have. I didn't like what I was reading. Dr was tapering me off because we both felt it really wasn't helping even with a combo of other meds. Was on it for 6 months. Tapered off very very slowl. Was on 400 once a day. Was doing great until I got to 100 mg every other day. So now I am back to 100 every day. See dr in a little over a week

Though I agree with these medications not being perscribed for these systems, they DO seem a really popular perscription for migraines, I haven't the faintest idea why as I was on something similar with terrible side effects. It made me much more dizzy.

I questioned that too.....and I was told that these medicines do have a side effect of something you want to get rid of......sounds crazy to me........tomorrow going back to eye doctor....they are saying I have a slight vertical imbalance that can be causing this dizziness.......I really dont know what to believe........just want this to go away!!!!!!frown

I find doctors always have a way of 'qualifying' meds with side effects if,it,suits them. I,learned a long time ago to make my own decisions o whatI put  in my body.
