    Hi Diane,

I've been on Gabapentin for about a year now, my GP put me on them for a prolapsed disc in my back. I was on 1500mg a day, my GP increased them to 1800mg a day a week ago.

I'm finding that I have an awful gurgling in my stomach, I don't know if you are having the same problem?

      Hi Angela,

It’s more like nausea/gassy/bloating feeling!! Eating has become a problem! This is even after I’ve been off almost a month! Do you have any other side effects from being on it?  I had every side effect there is! Now withdrawing from it is a nightmare even after this many days! I’m beginning to think there is something else going on! I have read on other comments that the withdrawal symptoms can last a long time! I am going crazy! Glad this drug is working for you! For me it has been a nightmare! Thanks for responding! Hoping there is light at the end of the tunnel!

      Hi Diane,

The only other side effect I have is tiredness. I've got an appointment next Monday with a spinal consultant, my GP thinks I will be offered an operation. If I have it done I'm dreading the thought of coming off Gabapentin, what was you on them for?

Hoping things get better for you soon.

      Angela,

I was put on them for crushing headaches! Which they never really didn’t know why I had them. Just put me on gaba!! Come to find out it was very tight muscles in my neck and at the base of my skull! You are lucky that’s the only side effect you have! It this took the life out of me! Now dealing with the withdrawals are bad! I keep reading you have to go off of this really slowly! I went by what my dr said to wean off! It’s been crazy! I did alright until I upped my dose to 900mg then 2 weeks on that I got every side effect there is!! After three months I couldn’t take it any more!! I hope everything goes well for you on Monday!!
