Gabapentin (side effects?)

I have been on a fairly low dose of Gabapentin (600mg/day) for about 4 months for treatment of Trigeminal neuralgia, and have severe itching along the nerves affected, face, ear and especially the scalp. I have tried every kind of oil, shampoo, benedryl, etc. with no relief. Just wondering if anyone else has had same side effect with Gabapentin?

    Hi, I started taking it to relieve burning pain I’m my forearm and thigh 6 weeks ago. Now my whole body feels like it burning. Legs, calf’s ,shoulders. I get these heat waves too. I think this stuff is making it worse to be honest will you.

    I took a very low dose for 9 days and quit. It feels as though every nerve in my body is on fire. Praying this resides and is only a withdrawal symptom and have anxiety which I have never had.

      Hi BCG,

      I had they same sensations from the withdrawal symptoms. My hands, arms, legs, and even my feet burned.

      I even had heat flashes.

      Hopefully this will pass for you soon.
