Weaning off gabapentin and now experiencing gastritis .Down from
900mg to 500mg. Is anyone aware
that this drug co. has been sued for millions due to off label scripts. Presently like most on here , suffering gastro , mental fog.
burning , skin crawling legs , sharp
pains in various parts of brain , just an array of nasty symptoms. If I had a job , I surely would have been fired by now. Only good part,
I lost 20lbs but I was only 132 to begin with. All in all this monster took 7months of my life away and I still have 400mg's to go. The symptoms some of you are citing ,
are on the web . Major lawsuit in Boston won by plaintiff for 130 million. Look this up.Phizer actually had on record , that it was
" snake oil ", in other words perscribe it for any pain that Ails
someone. So many of these meds
need to be researched by patients
and Dr.s before handing them out.
To a large degree we are being g tested like lab rats.
If anyone wants to chat back with me , feel free.Misery does in fact love company . I'm sorry for all of us .

i have pains in my head all the time i get exposed to the weather. Any slight cold change in weather causes a severe pain in my head and here i am living in England. I have been wondering how I'm going to survive the coming winter. I need information about these lawsuits.

look them up on google. They were in 2011 and one other I think 2004. The drug was off labeled in the 90's and after that , it was used by Dr. for any type of pain they wanted.
Maybe in the end we should get together and start another class action. Terrible to feel this bad and know it was done purposely.

yep. I should have looked this up before I ever put one capsule in my mouth. I looked up side effects last week and there were articles on a lawyers website all pertaining to how much they paid out.One was a suicide in Mass.
There were two big ones , class action I believe. One for 143 million and the other for over 300 million .Go google
gabapentin lawsuits .You'll find them.Problem is , we are a product of poison.

yep.Poison oil train as far as I'm concerned .I want to take a sample of this stuff to have it analyzed in an independent lab. That is how serious I am.I'm weak , my back is on and off in pain .Legs burning and if it weren't for replay I wouldn't grasp what I was watching. Went had an endoscopy today .Have gastritis from this as I had acid issues to begin with. Get off this stuff as soon as possible. That's my message to all that have these terrible side effects.

thats a great idea. independant review. choose your lab wisely, look into its support. if they sponsor or support any pharmecutical interests.

I'm sorry for what you're going through Joyce,
Gabapentin caused me to develop a sudden onset of a movement disorder after the 2nd consecutive dose in 2008.
My doctor's nurse assured me, "Side effects always wear off." It didn't. I was too humiliated to go to the ER, which was a big mistake since I should have had it documented. Some doctors cover over their iatrogenic errors. I wasn't given my brain MRI results. When I finally signed for them, the ordering doctor informed the radiologist that my symptom was only a stiff neck.
You're right that we are being treated like lab rats. If I had known that my doctor was giving me an anti-epileptic drug that went off label, I could have made an informed decision.
My digestion still isn't normal. I know gastritis must be difficult to deal with. I take Aloe vera juice mixed with cranberry juice, as well as Gummy Fiber chews.
I hope I chose the right picture that mentions when they started referring to Neurontin as being a Snake Oil in 1996.
I wish you the best.

My first picture didn't name the RX drug that purposely misled doctors.
