GAD with floexetine and propranolol

Hi all. New to this forum but needed some familiar advice. I have been suffering from GAD since 2009 . Turns out I worry about everything enough to have panic attacks. Prescribed 80mg of propranolol daily which worked but convinced myself I was becoming immune to it after many years. Now my doctor has also put me on 20mg of floexetine daily to help settle my way of thinking. Been on them a week and already feel a bit zoned out and tired. Could this be the anti depressant or the worry that I'm taking a new pill that's causing it. I'm thinking its a bit a of both. Im normally very focused and active but have stayedbin the past week on the sofa. Heart palpitations and spaced out feeling have kept me here.

Any thoughts?

Jason

Certainly while I was on fluoxetine I was more spaced out and found it hard to concentrate, it's most likely the new medication that's doing it but that is a common side effect and should subside sooner or later

Thanks for reply. I was thinking this but was told it won't be in my system yet. I guess it is! Just hope it subsides soon. I have things to do. I'm sleeping better and not waking up in the middle of the night so I guess that's a positive. Just a bit off putting atcthe moment.

I know the feeling, I was practically bed-ridden while on medication, I have extremely bad side effects almost straight away and had to stop taking them after only four days.. but good luck, the dust will settle soon and you can get on with other thingsĀ lol

The only side effects so far are loss of appetite and motivation. I guess I can handle this for a bit. See how it goes.

Hi Rachel. So far loss of appetite, stomach rumbles and a spaced out kind of feeling. I think a lot of the symptoms are from my anxiety and my over thinking from first taking them. I quite focused and was really apprehensive about take AD's. Doc said these will subconsciously stop me over thinking. I'm on day 7 and I can definetly feel something. How are you feeling?

So are you on propranolol and floexetine at the same time. Would you say you can feel an improvement?
