this is now my second day of sinus surgery and have now developed this horrible gagging feeling so i looked at back of my throat and noticed that little hanging ball is swollen and sitting down my throat, has anyone experienced this?

You may have an infection in the uvula. Try to see your doctor ...you may need antibiotics.
