Hello Stella, can't give you much support on this one. Hopefully someone else comes up with some sort of answer. Will be something that I'd be interested in as I have mine out on the 26th, and if I experience your problem would be nice to be ready and armed as it were.

    best of luck

Hi . I had my op 4 weeks ago today. Took me 4 days after the op to go and I was extremely constipated.  Take some dulcolax and if you can also drink some orange juice . Good luck . The pain and soreness will pass x

Stella, this is normal, the drugs your given during op do this. Ask your Dr what they recommend and tabs for pain relief. I used tramadol and paracetamol for pain. Docusate and senna for bowels. But best to check it out first as people cert with what they can have. But both these are harmless and bought over the counter. I did need intervention with mine also but that is because other issues I have. Remember not to strain, difficult but could do damage. Into my 7th week and so much better. Have had a bout of the nibbles today, eating so much easier now. Just have to watch the weight does not come back on. You will so much better soon, honest.

Felt a bit like how I was after giving birth first time. My muscles hurt and I couldn't sort of strain...I found passing water wasn't the same either I could empty my bladder but I didn't feel I could empty it completely no last sqeeze. I just was patient and within 3 or 4 days I was able to go. Phew ....

    Dont strain!!!!!

And your abdominal muscles and internal muscles will all return to normal in time.

Use an ice bag. Take your pain medicine the doctor gave you. Doctor should have gave you a stool softner too. Take miralax. Drink water. Rest. Walk around the house. I lost my gall bladder on the 11 and still have not pooped yet. For peeing bend forward a little to help get it going. Rest don't over do it. I know the pain hurts. I don't enjoy getting out of bed or out of my chair. I slept with an iice bag last night when I got up at 3:30 a.m. feel better soon Stella.
