Gallbladder Pain, High cholesterol and triglycerides

Hi everyone.  I have been having pain in my GB.  Previously had sludge and gravel stones on ultrasound.  This time it didn't show anything.  So, doctor did some more labs and my cholesterol and triglycerides were elevated.  Freaked me out because I have never had that before.  I'm still having pain.  So can I assume the elevated labs is the cause of my gb pain?  Or  are they elevated Bc my gb isn't functioning?  Any thoughts?

The elevated labs aren't causing your gallbladder pain. Your gallbladder pain is because your gallbladder is diseased and is still making small stones and sludge. Your gallbladder can only hold so much of this stuff.xx

Thanks Lynda.  I am pretty confident that the stones/sludge are there and didn't show up on the US.  Hopefully the CT will show it.  I guess my thought was....since I've never had high cholesterol or triglycerides...that if they have been high for a while and I didn't know it, does that make sense why I am having problems with my gb.  I'm 45.  I used to eat super healthy and exercise but lately, I haven't.

Well, when you feel like crap (sorry) it's easy to eat to comfort yourself, and difficult to exercise.  I'm having chemo now, and a friend wrote me and said, "Are you still working out, and if so, does it help?" Ha ha.  I know that they meant well, but the people that can still work out while they're having chemo are scarce on the earth. smile Still I'm doing okay...doc has a plan in the works, and after chemo I'm to have some surgery, and then radiation.

Gallstones are formed from cholesterol, and your nonfunctioning gallbladder could be throwing off your blood chemistry...

Best of luck to you.  I hope you get rid of your pesky gallbladder soon. xx
