Gallbladder pain worse after Hida Scan?

Hello!! This is my first post and was just curious if anyone else felt worse after their Hida Scan was done? A  little back history After 3 years of intermittent pain and 3 normal ultrasounds, I finally had the Hida Scan done. I had discomfort during the CCK injection but was fine the rest of the day ( last Friday). However, I feel like i woke up the next day and haven't felt good since. I actually feel worse now than i ever have in the 3 years since this gallbladder issue started. My ejection fraction was 20% so my doctor did refer me to meet with a surgeon for discussion. Just wondering if this is coincidence or anyone else had this issue after the test. I have been up most of the night the past few nights in a lot of discomfort in my upper abdomen and back especially.

Almost immediately after being given the medicines for the HIDA I felt horrendous. Was in agony that night and the pain didn’t really settle at all after that. 2 days later I was back at GP because of the pain and got my results there. But had to wait almost 3 weeks to see the surgeon to decide what to do about my low ejection fraction. I saw the consultant on the Monday and he put me on list then ended up admitted 2 days later with cholecystitis. Got the gallbladder out 6 days later whilst still an inpatient.

Whatever was in the medicines they used my body really didn’t agree with. I’d go back to your doctor and ask if they can give you anything to help. Or if they can make some phone calls or emergency referral request to speed things up? xx

Thanks so much Scottie13 for replying. I'm thinking my body also didn't agree with the cck injection. I'm sorry you went through all that. I meet with the surgeon in 4 days so if it continues through tonight I may have to call my Dr in the morning!

Thanks Scottie.. My appointment went very well with the surgeon yesterday.. My surgery is scheduled for next Friday the 9th. I'm feeling better, a heating pad really helps quite a bit with the pain. Thanks again!
