Gallbladder polyp

Hello, I wonder if someone could help me. Ive had an ultrasound sound today and the sonographer said all looked normal apart from an incidental finding of a gallbladder polyp. She said it will need to be reassessed in 6 months but was nothing to worry about.
I suffer with a severe health anxiety and I have frightened myself with Google because I read that they are pre malignant. Anyone else had these?

Hi Lisa.
The sonographer told me the same and then my GP asked me to go in and discuss results. He advised he was speaking to a specialist (Upper gi), next thing I know I've got a letter from hospital to see upper g I surgical team. My largest polyp is 7mm but have a few smaller ones.
I too googled and now sat waiting anxiously. My appointment is in 6weeks
I've read if it gets to 10mm they remove the gallbladder.
Do you know how big yours is?

Hello Sharon
No, she didnt say how big it was. She just said "its really nothing". As far as I am aware she just saw the one.
Its really worrying.

Hopefully your GP will discuss the results with you and let you know the size.
Try not to worry
