Gallbladder Problems and Waiting for Op

Hi,

I have gallstones- they were diagnosed 2 years ago - and have had bouts of upper right quadrant pain in the past but they have subsided. This time they have returned and have persisted. My doctor examined me, pressed my abdomen and when I said ouch said, yes that's your gallbladder. i had antibiotics and blood tests but they have all come back normal. He thinks that I will need to be referred for a gallbladder removal if the symptoms persist but they aren't doing them at the moment on the NHS because of Covid. I still have the pains and am on a low fat diet. I am also finding that in the morning I have loose stools/diarrea

My questions are:

  1. Is anyone else in the position of waiting for a gallbladder op, and if so how are you coping and
  2. Has anyone else had diarrea as part of gallbladder issues?

Thanks
