Gallbladder surgery

So heres my story... female 33 i was told back in april 30 when i was admitted to the hospital for extreme stomach pain that i had small gallstones and had to get my gallbladder removed i was released only for 2 weeks later the pain to come back but worse was sent home with just ibuprofen 600 and was told it was just biliary pain .

Since then i changed my diet started eating more greens more fresh fruits leaner meats like chicken fish nothing fried stayed away from greasy foods is july now and havent had no attacks since then some mild pain here and there but nothing compared to those horrible pains i experienced at first . My primary physician reffered me to a surgeon as instructed by my er discharge papers the surgeon told me i had to get it removed if not the pain was going to come back and worse . At this point im just feeling confused not knowing what to do since i been fine with my new diet but also afraid of that pain to come back . I know surgery is a major thing especially removing and organ but most people ive talked to( family and friends ) say to just do it and get it over with that recovery will be about 2 weeks but more like a few months to a year to feel completely healed . Want to know if anyone else has gone thru something similar ?? Or how was your experince??

Hi Maria I am following your foot steps and I agree.  I so want mine out, only yesterday I felt like I was having a heart attack.  I do not now get to see the hospital until Jan 19.  My attacks start with becoming feeling unwell with loose stool then to the point of vomiting.  It is once here you do not feel like eating after being sick, so after a few days of eating little and just drinking I become better, until the next time.  However I now know its the GB so I am aware but it does not help when an attack comes on rapidly, like yesterday which was a feeling of heart attack!!!!

This is the problem it takes on different forms and with me it seems like stress and eating are the two issues.

Hi Maria, I was 33 when I had I gallbladder out earlier this year. For years I had had bad chest and back pain (which I thought was muscular or bad indigestion) and suffered with tummy probs (which I put down to IBS). In October of last year, I began to have terribly painful attacks which would leave me gasping for breath and sometimes last for upto 18 hours. It was exhausting and scary. As soon I was diagnosed, I tried to curb my attacks with a strict diet but my gallbladder was full of stones and found to be a bit infected when they removed it. My Doctor was concerned as my liver enzymes were sky high so within six months I had to have surgery. Four months on, I still have to watch what I eat but I am glad not to have that pain anymore. It helped me to talk to others that had had it done both before and after. I had keyhole so recovery was quite fast.

In the meantime, Buscopan helps as does drinking cloudy Apple Juice every morning with Apple Cider Vinegar. Hope my story helped you and that you feel better soon.

Hi, I took a tablespoon every day in a glass of cloudy Apple juice. If you look it up online you'll see that lots of people use it for gallbladder. I feel it helped me.
