Gallbladder Symptom Question.

I am new to the forum so please be gentle with me. smile

I am waiting to have my gallbladder removed, but after reading about the symptoms of a gallbladder attack mine seems different. :?

I experience an almost constant burning pain in my right side, it goes right round my back too, it's agony when it starts, though it never completely goes.

Does anyone else have the same type of pain? I am wondering if it is my gallbladder thats causing the pain or something else..

Any advice appreciated.

    Hey,

I had that pretty much day in day out. esp if i had a very rich meal.

docs thought i was having urine infections but i knew it was too high up for that.

Best thing i ever did was getting my gallbladder removed. Good luck for the op.

    hi country girl,

while there are often lists of classic symptoms for any medical problems, we are all individual and many people with the same condition find their symptoms fit into the classic catogories. my pain was not classic - as my liver function got worse it disapeared - leaving the hospital dr's in doubt of my gp's diagnosis - i was told that gallstones were the best case scenario but not the most likely diagnosis - luckily the ultra sound was very clear that i had gallstones and with approriate treatment i my liver function improved.

try not to worry. and i hope you get some news of your op soon.

Hi Everyone, Thanks for your replies to my post.

What has got me and my GP baffled is I have constant burning pain in the gallbladder area and low down in my stomach, suggesting a bladder infection,

but my urine tests always come back clear. :?

I do have stones, but surely they wouldn't cause pain so low down. :?

Anyone else have the same problem?

Maybe you've got a Gallstone stuck / impacted in the terminal ileum, err, I think it's called Gallstone ileus
