Gallbladder symptoms?

Hello everyone, I'm a 30 year old male. I will try to keep this as short as possible, but I'm hoping someone has gone through something similar to what I've been going through. About 12 months ago I got very nauseous out of nowhere. I thought it was the flu, but it never really went away. Constant nausea but I've never vomited. This went one for about 3 months. Then when driving to a job site an hour away for work I got really lightheaded and felt like I was going to pass out behind the wheel so I pulled over and had coworkers come get me. I haven't really been able to drive much since, besides trips around town, which still made me uncomfortable. I've seen a gastroenterologist, which led to an ultrasound, upper endoscopy, food sugar intolerance tests, gastric emptying test, all of which came back great. I then went to an ENT. I had multiple test done here as well and they determined that I had ear nerve damage which i then went to physical therapy for. I had two eye exams because I was also experiencing some minor eye issues (which were unrelated...I believe). Things just never really got better. My GP ordered a brain MRI which came back great. I then began having panic attacks, one of which prompted a trip to the ER in fear of a heart attack. They passed this off as reflux and discharged me. I seen my GP and he put me on Ativan and recommended I see a therapist, which I have for about 4 months. I will have about a week of no symptoms and then crash and have get them again. Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago, I began having chest pressure below the sternum, which turned into right upper abdomen pain that started to radiate to my shoulder, lower back, and left abdomen. These new symptoms got bad, so I seen my GP this past Wednesday and he ordered an ultrasound and a HIDA scan, but due to the holiday I havent been able to get these scheduled, at least until Monday. The very next day (Thanksgiving), I woke up with a lot of chest pressure, my right side hurt, I couldn't stay off the toilet, I was freezing cold and trembling and I was very lightheaded. I felt like I could faint at any moment. My wife took me to the ER. They ran numerous labs, EKG, chest x-ray, all of which looked good. Then they ordered a CT scan, and the PA said my gallbladder was distended. They sent me home with some pain medicine and recommended I follow up with the ultrasound and HIDA scans. I have been very lightheaded/feeling faint now for three days straight, and the other symptoms just wont go away. Has anyone else had issues like this? I'm most concerned with the faint feeling, but the other symptoms are scary as well. I believe I do have a gallbladder issue, but can it cause what I've gone through? Every other doctor/specialist have said I'm healthy and their tests prove it. I feel like I'm running in circles and I have to get back to work. Sorry for the long post.

I am going through something similar but all my tests keep coming back normal. I don't have all of your symptoms but I have the upper abdominal pain / pain on my right side that radiates around to my back and it has increased over the last two months. Did you get your HIDA scan results back? That test shows at which percentage your gallbladder is functioning. Mine came back at 66% (which is normal as anything above 35% is considered normal).

I was also in the ER within the last month for the pain but the tests are all showing normal. I've have two rounds of blood work, 2 CT scans, upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, MRCP and CCK Hida Scan. The doctors still think it's my gallbladder despite normal tests but I'm hesitant to have it removed without knowing for sure that's what's causing me the pain.

I am 33 (female) and haven't really had any health issues in the past which makes this scary and frustrating at the same time. Keep us posted with any updates.

I got my ultrasound and HIDA results back and both came back excellent. I'm at a loss. I don't know where to go from here. The wife and I are very frustrated.

I understand your frustration completely. My health issues have literally consumed my life since the end of the summer. I can barely eat, can't sleep because of the pain and I am just not myself. I am seeing a new gastroenterologist on 12/15 and will be requesting an endoscopic ultrasound as this is pretty much the only test left that I haven't gotten done. I would have gotten it sooner, but because nothing has shown on any of my previous tests, no doctor is recommending me to have it done. I worry that this is something relating to my pancreas because of the location of the pain and also because my stools have not been normal at all since all of this abdominal pain has started.

Have you had an MRCP? It's basically an MRI of the abdomen but it will show a lot more than an ultrasound or CT scan will.
