As well as having trouble with gallstones before the op I also have Crohns so bloating and being unable to eat much was a way of life. The only thing that I could keep down at times was baby food. Sounds daft but it's smooth, it takes no eating and it got me through some bad flare ups. Maybe try a little and see if it helps x

I get that way when I eat anything processed, sugary or high fat if it doesnt bring on a full attack. It seems to help to eat lots of veggies with each meal. Keeps things moving quickly. Also stay hydrated with water. If the gas is getting uncomfortable maybe try ovol. It helped me when i had a really bad bout of bloating after attempting to eat plain popcorn

thanks. I am bloating on everything. My usual bowl of porridge, as you say sugar i.e. fruit, nearly fall asleep if I try to eat cheese or chicken/meat. Can get away with white steamed fish a few green beans. but I dont get attacks hardly at all its strange. thankyou I will have to eliminate.

People suffer differently with gallstones. My friend just gets nausea, I get a lot of pain.

I am still waiting for op date (6 - 8 months waiting list) so I should be done end of August or beginning of September.

Good luck with op and keep me posted.

    Take care
