Gas! Help please.

I need some ideas on how to relieve pain full gas after eating. I've tried gas X, it just doesn't seem to work for me. Is there any other meds, or prescription meds for it maybe. I already take a PPI, and have bentyl.
It doesn't matter what I eat it randomly occurs. I only drink water and eat no extra gassy foods that I know of. Only past diagnosis' of gastritis, gerd, IBS.

It's mainly in my chest. As if I need to burp.

GAS GAS GAS I have so much of it I almost got blown out of the bathroom tonight. For no damned reason at all either. All I ate were a few crackers. Gas X never worked for me -- nothing works except a hand held vibrator set on low while laying down letting it roam all over my abd. Then a heating pad for about 20 minutes and then I turn onto my stomach for a while and repeat. Seems to move the gas along. Sometimes it works -- sometimes it doesn't depends if the gas is caught between pieces of stool. Nasty.
I feel for you kim. I hope by now you're feeling a bit better. Try my olde fashioned remedy -- just might work, or not. Worth a try.

Hi Kim, ooph how horrible! Maybe you need medication to begin with to eat to start with which releases the gas after you've eaten I have Rantidine, a medicine that stops the burning pain in your stomach, you may know it as Zoflat or something like that. Speak to your chemist they're the best people - they're a Godsend to me. Good luck finding something.

Hi Kim, check out the fodmap diet loads of info on foods likely to cause bloating, bloating is one of my major issue's, are you getting enough magnesium?, I take magnesium citrate and if seems great for reducing bloating in my case.

Is it actually gas? As in if you do certain things will you actually burp? Because acid reflux can feel like gas. Try taking an antacid- if it's acid it'll help and if it's gas they often have gas relieving properties too( especially mint ones but be careful with mint and reflux- see how u go)

I have a similar problem to Kim, I even had a surgery privately called Linx to fit a device to stop acid reflux and after the surgery when my symptoms didn’t improve I was told I have IBS!! And now I get this horrible pain in my back and the bloating after I eat anything!! If I manage to burp I feel relieved but it’s difficult most of the time to do so. Any suggestions?

I Googled Linx and IBS and found this thread. I had Linx surgery in April. My food/drink sensitivities still remain with bloating in my belly after I eat. Dr is now saying its IBS. Could you share if things got better or if they found it was something else?
