    Hello,

I had mine last thursday at the royal free, it really wasn't so bad. Definitely not lovely, but not awful, I was out by the evening, it's now less than a week later and I feel almost back to good as new!

If you have any questions do ask smile

    Good luck!

Hi I'm on day 3 and I was just wondering if you have had any cravings to eat solid food and also what liquid stuff have you been drinking?

honestly everything is completely fine, its unpleasant but not unbareable for about 3 days then thats it, I was surprised how quiclly I started to feel better. None of its much fun - except for legitimately being able to stay at home and watch netflix for a week! I've so far had no complications & no regrets!

Hi Eleanor, I'm half excited and other half nervous, this time in 2 weeks it will be all done and gone well, how are you finding been on liquid diet? I've topped up with different flavours so I don't get fed up.😊

Hi Claire - I was banded 31 Oct 2015, there was no problem at all, all went to plan, stayed in overnight, had to take it easy for a couple of weeks or so (I had a hernia repair at the same time), couldnt drive for 2 weeks, but was amazed at how quickly i recovered. The only thing i had a problem with was trapped wind! My left shoulder was hell for quite a few weeks after, so stock up on windeaze and Deflatine, Peppermint tea is good and I had a heat pad permanently attached to my shoulder - lol! But it passes, and i dont regret having it done one bit. Its hard work, the band is just a tool, so the weight doesnt just fall off automatically (some people it does - the lucky ones!). I think some providers are rubbish and people go in to it not having a clue which is frustrating and sad! I've lost 3 stone 10 lb so far, so I'm happy - still a way to go, but i know i'll get there! There is a group on facebook that are brilliant - full of info and support, its really helpful to hear all their stories. Its a closed group, but if your interested I'll get them to add you and anyone else whos reading this and need support, its really worth joining! 'Gastric Band Support Group' (there are a few different ones around but this is the one I'm in)  Good luck with your journey ! (If you want to friend me on FB, thats fine too, the more support you get, the better i think!!)  smile

      thanks again 😊
