Gastric reflux severe problem.

I have had several endoscopyies and have a hiatus hernia about 3cm and also had stomach ulcer and on the tablet esomeprazole 20mg twice daily and gaviscon advanced.

Trouble is every day nearly I have to wretch in the morning before I have food and all that comes up is bile. I think the doctors say that is the way it is-but is it. What about the lynx procedure I hear about.

Problem is that I do like to drink wine and smoke when I drink as I am living in a stressful environment. Can anyone help.

    I have just been diagnosed with bile acid reflux which is worse than GERD

    It's horrible and ppi don't really work

    They don't have Linx in Canada but heard it was better option than the usual procedure they recommend- fundo

    They can do Linx if 3 or smaller 

    But complications after can be worse in some cases 

    Life isn't worse living with all this s**t - can't get into a pain free state - its 24 hours

      Thanks for reply. Yes there is not much out there. All I can do is ask my gp if anything is on offer it feels like ibs where they just fob you off with tablets etc

      I wish I had the money to be a private patient and I am sure further investigation would have taken place.

      Best of luck and thanks for replying. I am 72 and looking after my wife who has mental health problems which does not help.
