    depends how actly they treat it and how you react to the treatment. ive had gastritis for a few months now which has led to various ulcers, esophagitis and daily vomiting.

    You will heal when you stop stressing and getting anxious. If you continue stressing and worrying it will almost certainly affect your digestive system. Try relaxation technique and distraction techniques. You don't mention what you stress about, it would help if you did mention what stresses you...

    Try and eat small amounts of bland food regularly, no coffee or chocolate. I found drinking aloe vera juice helped also things like ginger and fennel as herbal teas soothing.

    For me it took a couple of weeks to settle down.
